    『千風之歌 樹葬永存』

    這首多人傳頌感動的「千風之歌」，意境恰如「詠生樹」的精神：自然天地間，我永遠跟你同在。（註）

    「城市進步概念－環保自然葬」
    關於環保自然葬歷史，英國是世界最早推動樹葬國家，從1993年開始，樹葬概念逐漸推行至美國、北歐、日本、紐澳等國家，台灣起步較晚，2001年起才開始推動環保自然葬；而新竹市比起其他縣市，包括台北市（樹葬、花葬）、新北市（樹葬）、台中市（樹葬）、台南市（樹葬）等等縣市，算是後發‧先至。

    面對至親的逝去，我認同「千風之歌」中描述的追思懷念方式。
    比起傳統的土葬、塔葬，環保葬更符合現今對「綠色地球」的環保意識，民政處資料統計，2010至2019年間，全台灣環保葬件數從1542件增加至1萬2775件，成長了8倍，顯示有愈來愈多民眾認同這項進步的觀念。因此，新竹市於羽化館前方開設新竹市第一座環保自然葬園區「詠生樹」。

    「新竹市環保自然葬園區－詠生樹」
    新竹市環保葬提供5354個穴位，全區分為六大樹種區域，包括：樟樹、杜英、青剛櫟、烏心石、茄苳以及竹柏區，並設有草皮及景觀池，提供多元葬法新選擇。特別要跟大家報告，新竹市民在2024年前申請全部免費，希望環保葬在新竹市能受到民眾的接受與支持。

    利用樹木（詠生樹）緬懷先人，除了環保，也兼具景觀改善與生態復育，提倡以人為本更親近自然。詠生樹將骨灰經過處理，以一層骨灰一層泥土樹葉或花瓣層層堆疊，並加入溶磷菌加速骨灰分解與大地融為一體，不造墓、不立碑、不留下記號，透過簡單的儀式，讓生命回歸塵土。（相關解說參閱留言區影片介紹）
