NAE:UM officially opens this evening, and I'm thrilled to tell you all about my experience last evening, so that you can quickly make your reservations to secure the earliest slots available (July seatings are already completely sold out). 🔸 Food was excellent, but that's the story for another day. We are familiar with Chef Louis' cuisine at Kimme, so we already know that food at NAE:UM would be good. Yet Chef Louis exceeded my already high expectations and fascinated me at every of the seven courses I had last evening. 🔸 There was something so heartwarming about my dinner last evening, that I didn't want to leave even when I'm done with petit fours. I was taking in the sights of the beautiful restaurant - it was elegant yet cosy, so it was very charming. And at the heart of it is the people, from the dedicated and focused kitchen team to every wait staff on the ground. Service was refined but not stuffy, friendly and still polished. They certainly took very good care of me while making me feel right at home. And that same thread can be seen in Chef Louis food too, which are refined and technical, yet remaining unpretentious and comforting. 🔸 These reflect the labours of love, not only by Chef Louis and Monna, but by every one in the team as well. Which is why, while food was very good last evening, it was more than food that I experienced. We got lucky! Celebrated Mother’s Day on Labours Day just because this restaurant is so hard to get a seat. Little did we know, Mother’s Day this year is another lockdown. Here’s a throwback to celebrate this strong women in my life who raised me single handedly to who I am today. Love you a lot mom❤️💐

Harold was smoking a pipe and feeling that the world was a pretty good place. - The Stymphalean Birds, The Labours of Hercules, Agatha Christie . 那天看小說的時候看到這篇故事的開頭， 是這位先生就坐在一個不是太有名的的小旅館陽台上， 面對著湖， 享受著眼前的風景， 和那片刻確實落印在心裡的閒適。 . 真心地享受這樣平淡的， 安靜的休假。 . 後來的故事和偵探白羅有關， 也因此閒適安定沒有超過三頁。故事主角到最後怎樣？ 就讓大家自己去看書研究吧。 . 看到這段，我確實也希望能有那個機會可以享受一片安靜。超想每天都按鈴來個客房服務 ！！ 可惜我就是 " 媽媽旅館 " 的掌櫃 (日本稱作女將是吧？！) ， 凡事都要自己來。 . 咦， 其實做媽九年以來， 我的母親節禮物一直都只是想要 " 好好坐著吃頓別人準備的飯 " 這樣如此平凡的事情。不知道各位又是怎樣的呢？ . . 前面那篇說到吃的， 今天也要來跟大家分享生活中的一些平凡又日常， 卻讓人感到很踏實開心， 都和食物有關的事。 . ❷ 最喜歡別人送來自製的醬。這是公婆家的管家自製的熊蔥青醬， 三月底四月初才有的鮮嫩熊蔥， 有著濃厚的蔥味， 很像大蒜， 又不會有可怕的口臭。像普通青醬那樣製作就可。今年我沒有去採收製作 (野地即可採收)， 倒是收到別人寄來的， 真的是也太幸福。 . 熊蔥 Bärlauch ， 唸： 貝爾勞喝。 . ▲ 注意 ▲ 森林中也有和它長得非常類似但有毒的植物， 一樣是春季盛產， 如果不確定絕對不要自己採收。 . ❸❹我們樓上的陽台雖然有個看起來像牢房般的欄杆， 能夠看到日落和山景還是我們的日常幸福。我和先生都很喜歡山， 尤其我小時候是在冬山長大的， 非常習慣每天看到山的模樣。現在的小鎮就只有這座死火山， 以及附近一些小型的火山群， 或許沒有阿爾卑斯山那樣偉大壯麗， 卻也是一種很安心的依靠。 . 天氣終於回暖的時候為了解決冰箱那包最後的起司， 先生提議在頂樓搭配日落吃起司鍋。一大碗的麵包有一半都被小孩吃掉了， 而且天氣真的很熱，  正常來說都是冬天才吃的， 我們卻穿著短袖短褲在吃麵包搭配融化的起司。這一定跟德國人會在大熱天烤肉一樣詭異。 . 起司鍋 Käsefondue， 唸: K 這瘋丟 (類似 "丟丟噹" 那條歌的發音)。 . (不要告訴我你不知道這什麼歌 ......) . . ❺❻❼ 學校三年級有營養課， 小孩學習拿刀切菜， 準備簡易早餐， 義麵沙拉， 和甜點。理論和實作都有考試。於是她想練習的時候我也讓她全程自己來， 頂多替她準備一些器材。這樣， 我有沙拉可吃 (早餐) (然後還因為對生紅蘿蔔過敏必須吃到一半先去吞一顆藥)， 有切得很漂亮的西洋梨 (一樣有過敏) 當甜點。 . 回想當初國中的時候和朋友一起想要下廚煮炒飯， 結果用玉米濃湯下去做配料， 還一直懷疑為什麼這個飯這麼黏 ……… 從此不敢再嘗試任何一道菜色， 直到我進入大學。不是我要騙人， 在台灣要下廚我大概只會煮水餃而已 (面壁思過)。 . 或許有朝一日女兒能夠煮出個什麼台菜來給我 (有夢最美)。 . 梨子 Birne ， 唸： 別兒呢。(超傲嬌) 麵沙拉 Nudelnsalat ， 唸： 奴瞪沙拉 (是有啥怨念) . . ❽❾ 這是什麼奇妙的菜？ 這個紅椒是婆婆從附近的農場買來給我們的。讓我想到巫婆的鞋子呢！！！ 先生倒是覺得很像小嬰兒 (！！！) 各位覺得像是甚麼呢？！ . 這紅椒很甜， 比平常的鐘狀紅椒還要甜， 而且很脆。雖然看起來很妙， 生吃或者煮成醬都很適合。一開始我們對它身上的咖啡深色斑紋不解， 一直以為是發霉壞掉的。後來才知道這是正常的 ！！！ 標準的不經一事不長一智。 . 德國的椒類食物很多耶！ 我最喜歡小青椒， 很辣而且只要胡椒鹽下去烤過就變得超配酒的， 絕對一口接一口 (大拇哥)。可是小青椒不好買， 我在平常超市都只有看到甜的那種。 . 椒 Paprika ， 這個唸法完全沒有挑戰性， 照唸就可。配合各種顏色來命名， 就跟中文一樣。辣椒則是叫做 Chili ， 注意只有一個 L 唷！ 胡椒則是 Pfeffer ， P 極度輕到不發音的程度。 . . 以上， 就是一些日常的小小 moment 。 . 祝大家每天吃得開開心心 💕 . . #日常 #主婦日常 #vienna #viennamoments #housewifedaily #德文小教室
