    Buy the Truth

“Buy the truth, and don’t sell it. Get wisdom, discipline, and understanding.” (Proverbs‬ ‭23:23‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Nothing is more precious than revelations about Jesus who is the way, the TRUTH, and the life. He is also who Wisdom represents in the Book of Proverbs.

Godly wisdom is stored up and reserved like precious treasure for the “upright” who are God’s children.

“For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity; that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.” (Proverbs‬ ‭2:6-8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

To sell the truth means to give it away—discarding it as if there is anything else more worthy to trade it for.

When we trade revelations of Jesus away and choose to embrace ways of the world instead, we get conned into a bad deal.

Only knowing the truth can set us free. If we sell the truth, then we are left with unprofitable lies that leave us in bondage.

“Jacob boiled stew. Esau came in from the field, and he was famished. Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom. Jacob said, “First, sell me your birthright.” Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?” Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob. Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils. He ate and drank, rose up, and went his way. So Esau despised his birthright.” (Genesis‬ ‭25:29-34‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Esau was a man who was very short-sighted. He could only see what was in front of him. He was very hungry, and there was freshly-boiled stew, so he sold his birthright for a meager bowl of stew.

The birthright was something intangible to him so it did not seem real or valuable. He was a man who walked by sight and not by faith.

When you are feeling a desperate need, do you sell the truth and buy the world’s ways?

“All these revelations about Jesus are not practical or useful. Don’t get me wrong, they are good to know, but they cannot help me fix this problem in my life.”

A statement like that is like Esau despising his birthright, saying, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

If you treat the Gospel of Jesus Christ as precious, God will be really pleased, for that is what He considers as true treasure. He who honors Jesus, receives honor because every good thing is found in Christ.

“For to the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he gives travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him who pleases God. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.” (Ecclesiastes‬ ‭2:26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Can you see that God considers wisdom, knowledge, and joy as His precious gifts and priority, whereas gathering and heaping up (material wealth) is seen as a secondary matter?

You buy the truth by seeking out revelations about Jesus Christ, and making it your priority to know Him more.

When God gives you a rhema word, act upon it. Doubt it at your own detriment. God is good and His word is true. Buy the truth and do not sell it!

New month, new round of empties! For some reason I use up conditioners faster than my shampoos. Anyone here does the same? 🙋🏻‍♀️

I find it oddly satisfying to collect my empties, so I collect and photograph them before recycling (some) and discarding the bottles. Well, it shows I’ve been using them diligently! Here’s a round-up of my thoughts on some of these empties:

    • @ahc.global Peony Bright Clearing Toner - love the scent, the light cooling texture and how it helps to brighten up my skin
    • @dermalab_sg Amino Gentle Cleanser - one of the best cream cleanser that removes all traces of dirt and makeup for a thoroughly clean complexion without drying out my skin
    • @neutrogenasg Rainbath Body Wash - has this green floral fruity scent that’s calming and uplifting
    • @biodermasg Sensibio H20 Micellar Water - not the best to remove waterproof makeup but I like to use this to refresh my skin every now and then because it’s a no-rinse formula
    • @keworganics Megaboost Hyaluronic+ Concentrate Serum - one of the best hydrating serums, ever
    • @decortesg Comfort Day Mist - helps minimise transfer of makeup onto my mask and smells really good too
    • @moistdianesg Perfect Mist - helps to smoothen out frizz on my tresses and smells divine
    • @virtuelabs Recovery Conditioner - love the conditioner because it helps to take the frizz on my hair and it smells so tropical, like mango
    • @dailymiriqa Professional Hair Nutrition Supplement - finished 2 boxes of this and it has helped with my scalp issues and my baby hair is growing!

Can’t wait to collect another batch of empties and share my thoughts next month! We’re already at midweek, hang in there~ #clozette #beautyempties

多個外國網上文章標題是: “why people in Asian countries wear masks...”

    Surgical mask:
    Cloth masks-

中國fashion week ‘smog couture’ 更用了最大型facemask走fashion show.

“Surgical masks are typically more useful to people who are already sick because it prevents them from spreading an infection to others”

“Small infection droplets cannot be filtered by the surgical masks” Hyo-Jick Choi, assistant to professor of chemical and materials engineering at the university of Alberta said.

“Surgical masks do not have the function to kill the virus,”
“That means wearing a mask with virus particles for too long could actually put you and others at risk”

“The world health privatization prioritizes several safety measures over wearing masks, washing your hands frequently, using and discarding tissues when you sneeze or cough, and maintaining a 3-foot distance from people.”

Full-moon Shrimp Patties

Important: Do not excessively chop up the shrimp so as to retain the texture of the shrimp.

    Ingredients:
    200 grams shrimp
20 grams of chopped green onions
    10 grams ginger
2 sheets of spring roll skins

    Seasoning:
    1/6 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon powdered sugar
    1/6 teaspoon white pepper
    1 tablespoon cornstarch
    1 teaspoon sesame oil
    Dipping sauce
Suitable amount of commercially available Thai sweet chili sauce.

    Preparation Instruction:
    1. Wash off the shelled shrimp, afterwards removing and discarding the intestinal material. Once more mince with a cleaver from alternating angles.
    2. The first step is to take the shrimp pulp and add all the seasonings. Mix the chopped green onions and minced ginger together and set it aside.
    3. Take a piece of flat spring roll skin, smear it with some shrimp pulp smoothly. The second step is to put a spring roll skin on the back side pressing its edge into a shrimp cake. Puncture the shrimp cake surfaces with a toothpick to prevent bubbling while it is fried.
    4. Pre-heat the frying pan to about 120 ℃, put in the formed shrimp cake and fry it over low heat slowly and turning it over gently with chopsticks. Fry for about 4 minutes until the surface is golden brown. Remove it, let it drain, and cut it into smaller sections. Finally, coat it with a little Thai sweet chili sauce when ready to eat.
