Zuoying Dist., Kaohsiung City, beside Lianchitan (Lotus Pond), 5.99 hectares public green space located between Shengli Rd and Cuihua Rd will be sold for private 20-story buildings under urban renewal by government. Greenery replaced by concrete; views, skyline, and over hundred years of cultural scenic around Lianchitan will be violently destroyed. A photo taken at the Dragon Tiger Tower will have its beautiful blue sky replaced by cement buildings, impacting tourism industry worth hundreds of billions of NTDs and diminishing the quality of life for all Zuoying residents.

Taiwan's control of the coronavirus outbreak has put President Tsai Ing-wen back in the limelight. Following reports by CNN and Forbes magazine, the British daily newspaper The Guardian has pointed out that women leaders tend to be more successful in managing the coronavirus crisis, and Tsai has been included in the report. Meanwhile, former US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has launched a petition, demanding U.S. Congress take action on China, which she says is "lying about the coronavirus pandemic." It has gathered nearly 80,000 signatures in just a couple of days.

繼美國《富士比》雜誌和CNN後，英國《衛報》也以女性領導人成功抗疫經驗，把總統蔡英文和德國總理梅克爾、紐西蘭總理阿爾登等女性元首並列報導。另外，美國前駐聯合國大使海利發動連署，要求美國國會調查中國隱匿疫情、支持台灣加入WHO，短短兩天就有近8萬人連署。

挺華航正名台灣航空 國際連署破51萬人登CNN

台灣對外捐贈口罩，協助國際對抗中國武漢肺炎疫情，卻因為中華航空公司（CHINA AIRLNES）裡的「CHINA」，遭到中國不要臉地收割，也造成部分國際人士誤認，正名活動如火如荼展開，不僅有國人在連署網站發起連署，已經吸引逾51萬人參與，國際媒體「CNN」更加以報導，有國外專家表示，現在正是理想時機。

國人在知名連署網站「I」發起正名連署《支持將「中華航空」正名為「台灣航空」Call for Petition of Rectifying”China Airlines”with”Taiwan Airlines"》，文章指到，中華航空（CHINA AIRLINES）受名號被混淆之累，在這次武漢肺炎病毒事件中，造成不小的困擾，包括義大利、越南與菲律賓都把台灣的中華航空視為「中國」，予以拒絕入境。懇請台灣蔡英文政府先從不需要「公投」或修憲逐項推動，而是先將「中華航空」正名（Rectify）為「台灣航空」，相信以台灣政府堅靭的能耐，一定可以解決識別、航權、營運經濟等難題。

截至台灣時間17日上午7時，連署人數已經突破51萬人。
