⛔️ 沒有 "example" 的 “for example”
❌The price of gifts is commonly misunderstood by the fact that higher value corresponds to one’s friendship status. For example, more intimate friendships coincide with a more expensive present.
邏輯: 這只是前句的延伸, 並非個 "例子"
例子應是 "實際且具體" 的
但還是可以是個很簡單敘述
⭕ For example, one often feels the pressure of what type of gifts he or she should get and is afraid of the judgment of gift-quality based on the perceived monetary value when attending a friend's birthday party.
⛔️ 分詞構句(減化主詞後), 主詞前後不一致
Cathy was struggling with her assignment in the library. Her friend bought her milk tea.
❌ Struggling with her assignment in the library, Cathy’s friend bought her milk tea.
邏輯: Struggling 的人變成 Cathy’s friend
與欲表達的語意(Cathy)不符
⭕ Struggling with her assignment in the library, Cathy was treated with milk tea from her friend.
⛔️ 結論(句)沒有總結
❌ This is the reason why learning a second language is important.
邏輯: 雖說結論或者結論句需重申強調論點
但除了改寫(paraphrase) 之外
也要 "歸納" 出結論, 言之有物
⭕ This helps children gain competitive advantage and connect to the world community.
