There were people that used to look down on me, thinking that I ain’t worth shit being only able to draw.

I’ve encountered a self-centered, conceited mofo before during work,She was all saying that she wanted to collab with me to make a game but all she really wanted to do was to use my rep to do her own thing.

That fucking asshole thought she was the shit and everyone should bow down to her ass. She has fucking broken English skills but she was all like “I’m the fucking greatest in the world.”

She used to talk about how her mom opened up an English cram school for her, some shits about her studying abroad in England for fucking 9 weeks and that she’s da shit for doing so, and also she kept bragging that even the CEO thinks her English is very good.

But guess what tho, her retarded ass can’t even speak or write in proper English. She fucking not only spoke with a retarded accent but her grammar is all over the place, but yet she had the balls to bitch and laugh at others when they make a mistake in English, saying shit like “Didn’t that guy study in England, how come his writings are crap?”

And she would even use onomatopoeia phrases like “ewww” or “eek” or “ouch” to prove that her English is “authentic.”

U know what tho, if ur English is that good there’s no fucking need for u to show off like this or use berate others.

One time, I had enough and wrote a long ass complaint to the boss(About work stuff), that made her shut up for good cause the fucking retard wasn’t able to understand a word of that letter.

That bitch thought she’s better than everyone else and she’s not shy to it.

What’s make matters worse is that she hates dogs cause she thinks dogs are filthy animals.

When my dog Baku passed away she made some nasty remarks that I’ll never forgot and forgive her.

Honest to God I’ve never seen this kind of worthless piece of scum in life, that fucktard is the really the worst kind of piece of crap that I’ve ever met in my life.

Oh yea that stupid-ass motherfucking retard even once said that she was gonna work in Europe, but it’s all bs cause she aint even passed the job interview.

一日，在家偷拍家狗動靜，狗兒回眸一瞪，明顯不高興的眼神，用廣東話表達，就是：「影咩影，『𥇣 』死你吖嗱。」用英文講「𥇣 」死你，第一個想到的是：Give you a dirty look。

要留意，我們說 a dirty magazine 指色情雜誌，a dirty movie 係三級電影，一句 give her a dirty look，有人或會誤解為「色迷迷的眼神」，這是錯的。句子是說：給她一個憤怒 angry、表示反對 disapproving 、反感 disgusted 的眼神；簡單一點，就是怒視、「𥇣 」或矋。

· The other passengers gave me dirty looks for taking up too much room on the bus. 因我霸佔了太多空間，巴士上的其他乘客都向我怒目而視。

若在網上一查 a dirty look 的中文翻譯，會出現「骯髒的外觀」，這自然也是錯的。要記得，dirty 除了解作不潔、憤怒，亦可解作「不可接受、令人反感的事物」。

像 dirty word(s) 髒話，好像就代表粗口，就與性有關？不一定呢，看以下 dirty word 的用法：
· For environmentalists, "disposable" has become a dirty word. 對環境保護者來說，「即用即棄」已變成一個髒詞。

· "Quarantine" is quite a dirty word among business travellers amidst the pandemic. 在大流行病期間，商務客視「隔離」一語如髒話。

回說 a dirty look，若要進一步形容憤怒，可說：
· Getting increasingly annoyed, I decided to give her AN EVIL EYE. 我益發惱怒，決定向她惡狠狠地瞪眼。

· He had a dark look in his eyes, AN EVIL STARE. 他眼睛裏閃過一份陰沉，散發敵意。

這個 evil，固然也解作邪惡，但一般是指「不懷好意」；當中確也包含仇恨 hateful、惡意 malicious 以至恐嚇 threatening 的味道。
· I saw him giving me the evil eye, so I turned around and walked the other way. 看到他用敵意以至恐嚇的眼神瞪過來，我於是掉頭走另一條路。

或問，不管 a dirty look 或 an evil stare ，平鋪直敘說 an angry look、an angry stare 不就可以了嗎？當然可以，但文字就少了色彩。還有，不喜歡用不等於不用知道 —— 尤其是 a dirty look 是常用語，聽人家說了，不要誤解意思也就好。中文同樣會形容一個人「眼放飛劍」，是說眼神之凌厲如有殺意。英文用短劍 daggers，眾數。

· Daggers were coming out of her eyes. 她眼放飛劍。
. He obviously hates me. He stares daggers at me. 他一定是憎恨我，他向我眼放飛劍。
· He saw her sour and angry face. He was getting daggers from her. 他看到她一臉惱怒，一直在向他發放飛劍。

//中文有一個七字成語：此地無銀三百両；以口語道來，常常會索性省掉最後三個字，就講「此地無銀」。

這成語來自民間故事，話說有個儍兮兮的人在院子掘洞，藏起了三百両銀子，卻又在坑上豎牌，寫明「此地無銀三百両」。

意思就是企圖隱瞞卻又欲蓋彌彰，說得太多做得太多，結果反而暴露了，自然顯得作賊心虛。

· Don't talk too much. You're giving yourself away. 不要說太多，你會泄露自己的心思。

這句話主要是勸人不要弄巧反拙，有一點點「不要此地無銀」的意思，但並非清楚對等。要用英文表達，可以說：

Don't protest too much.

不要過分抗議？錯。

不要此地無銀！對。

說一個人 protest too much，是認為此人 overly insistent about something, to the point where the opposite is most likely true，過分重複或堅持什麼，去到一個程度讓人覺得，其人所說的相反才是事實。

這個講法源自莎士比亞的《王子復仇記》(Hamlet )，原文是 The lady doth protest too much, me thinks。譯做現代英文，就是 I think the lady does protest too much。

今日仍然會有人在用 protest too much 表達「此地無銀」的意思，甚至拋出整句The lady doth protest too much, methinks，也許有拋書包之意，但也不必引以為怪。

· He simply protests too much. 他太過此地無銀、欲蓋彌彰了。

· He mentions at every opportunity how he loves his wife and didn't marry her for her money — me thinks he doth protest too much. 他一有機會就說自己多愛妻子，娶她並不因為她的錢——太此地無銀了。

· She keeps saying how much she hates gossiping, but I think she protests too much. 她老是說最不喜歡搬弄是非，但我覺得她不就是最喜歡搬弄是非的人。

新聞中也有類似例子：有自以為政治正確的人說，不應叫武漢肺炎，正名是新型冠狀病毒肺炎（世衛的COVID-19官方中文叫法其實是「2019冠狀病毒病」）。因為過分重複、過分強調，反而暴露了企圖抹煞疫症源自武漢的事實，就是此地無銀、欲蓋彌彰。· Beijing stooges say no Wuhan coronavirus. That it should be "properly"called novel coronavirus. They simply PROTEST TOO MUCH. 北京嘍囉說，沒有武漢肺炎。應該「正確」地叫新冠病毒。這些人也實在太此地無銀了。//
