(abu daud 4800) . makes sense, kan? kalau semua org merasa betul, dan semua org tak rasa diri tu salah— mmg paling logik adalah walk away je kan? sbb kalau nak hadap jugak, dgn dua2 pihak rasa “الله di pihak aku sbb aku benar” walhal dasarnya adalah selective memory je— mmg sampai kiamat lah kan…? . salah ke org susah nak maafkan? i dont know. kita rasa masalah kita cetuskan tu kecik. so minta maaf patut settle. itu kita. yg hadap— dia. . habis tak yah minta maaf ke? i dont know. ada org mmg nak lupakan langsung. dah maafkan tapi mmg dia pilih utk dismiss kita dari memori. so kalau kita muncul, luka berdarah kembali. ada org mmg sampai akhirat dok kesumat. nak tuntut direct pada ilahi. . so nak minta maaf ke tidak ni? i dont know. . kita macammana betul pun, ada salah kita. macammana salah pun, ada betulnya. . doalah org select memori yg betul utk kita.

I hope this is my last post in this series, but I can’t promise. Nothing big today, though. Just a light conclusion. To be honest, I didn’t feel that brave sharing my experiences about abuse. In a twisted way, I felt braver carrying it - mostly - alone and in silence. Over the years I also downplayed everything and gaslit myself constantly by laughing things off or making jokes out of them. I’m sure this resonates with at least a few of you, and the fact that it does really truly reflects how twisted our society is. Of course humor has its place, but how much of a disservice are we doing ourselves every time we dismiss our own pain just to avoid making others feel uncomfortable? And honestly, I felt more worried about the response I would get. Not the fear of being judged or making others uncomfortable, but of having to possibly deal with someone persistently overstepping, centering, and/or offering toxic platitudes as if they somehow know better. In my experience, these people are also incredibly difficult to draw boundaries with, because they will immediately take offense to you not accepting their unsolicited opinions and advice with tearful gratitude, and you will be made to feel unreasonable and unkind. For anyone struggling to maintain a relationship with someone like this: call them out, stand your ground, and see how they react. If someone repeatedly dismisses your boundaries, then they’re someone who has something to benefit from you not having boundaries with them. Take a minute to ponder why that is. You’ll always have my support in cutting them off. For everyone else who has managed to show support, encouragement, and care without centering yourselves, being condescending or dismissive, overstepping boundaries, or infantilizing me: thank you. You have restored my faith in humanity and I will now continue on in my good fight. Love you all. Very much.
