When we talk about Bourgogne wines, people often associate wines from a few celebrated villages, along with Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations, but the production of the three classifications combined only accounts for 47% of the region’s total production. ​ ​ The rest are the regional appellations. They are the best kept secrets and what locals drink on a daily basis. The wines are value driven with great quality, and the most important of all, they provide a broader glimpse of what Bourgogne wines taste like in a nutshell. ​ ​ I attended the Bourgogne/Chablis workshop hosted by Bourgogne Wines Ambassador, Kristie Petrullo Campbell, last week. During the workshop, @kpc_wine walked us through 6 wines, from the Petit Chablis AOP to the Mâconnais. All the wines drank beautifully and I don’t see what not to love! ​ ​ Oftentimes, we overlook these regional Bourgogne wines and miss out on what they can offer. #TGIF! 參加咗 Champagne Bollinger香檳試酒會，試咗今年推出市場嘅Champagne Bollinger R.D. 2007年，同埋大號R.D. 2004年及特大號R.D. 2000年！Champagne Bollinger R.D.系列係香檳酒莊嘅頂級系列，R.D.解作「Recently Disgorged 」，意思是陳年了好一段時間到近期才除渣入瓶出廠。這系列一般比入門系列陳年多最少2-3倍時間，R.D.平均陳年10至15年才出廠。R.D. 2007年帶淡金黃色，優雅而複雜，帶白花、蜜糖、牛油麵包、香料、生薑、白桃、杏脯、榛子及礦物等味道，清爽優雅而層次複雜，餘𩐳悠長。R.D. 2000年特大號十分「後生」，22年後仍然活潑及充滿果香，氣泡充足，證明特大號真的可以慢慢陳年！#Cheers! 🥳🎉🥂 happy Friday! #TGIF! R.D. means “Recently Disgorged”, which is the top series, which aged 2-3 times longer than normal champagne, it normally aged for 10-15 years. R.D. 2007 has light gold color, elegant & complex, with white flowers, honey, brioche, spices, ginger, peach, apricot, hazelnut & mineral notes. It’s crispy & complex with long finish. R.D. 2000 #jeroboam is awesome, it’s still “young” after 22 years, it’s fruity & lively and the bubbles r still so intense, which proves that jeroboam can really keep the wine from oxidation a lot slower than normal size! #Cheers! 🥳🎉🥂 #happyFriday!

Created in 2012, the Millesimes Alsace Trade Fair has become an excellent showcase for Alsatian wines. This year, the fair was held virtually, sending out sample kits from 100 producers and 400 wines to wine professionals around all the world. I have talked to the producers, tasted the wines and attended conferences and masterclasses in the past 3 days. ​It’s a unique, innovation, and one of kind experience. So glad to be part of it.
