MashaAllah, sounds great right? It arrives at your house and after unboxing, something is missing. The manual. You're trying to figure out how to assemble this cool gadget together but end up wasting time. Then you search for a demo video but suddenly your wifi and internet fails to work, so you're left out in the cold, not knowing what do do. Similarly; the manual to our life is the Qur'an and the demo of it, is the sunnah from our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). So whenever we get stuck, we must always go back to these two main sources. Why? Because the Qur'an is the best and final scripture. It is the unchanged truth, the words of Allah (ﷻ) that are a light and a guide for all of mankind to achieve success in dunya and akhirah. Revelation comes in 2 forms; Wahi that is recited which is the Qur'an and Wahi that is not recited, which is the sunnah. We believe and accept everything from the Qur'an in it's totality, we cannot negate, change, or pick and choose what we like and don't like. The Qur'an came to guide and change our hearts, souls and lives for the better, not for us to change it according to our whims and desires, that is transgression at it's highest! - "O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result." (An-Nisa : 59) - “O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.” (Al-Ma'idah : 15)
