And just like that, @womensfesthk 2021 has wrapped up!

This year, our panel (with the wonderful @sallystoy.picco , Susan Tsui of @iwshk and @lynnpinugu of @manoamigaph , moderated by Chantal Wong) discussed the power of education on young men and women in giving them the opportunity to envision and create a life that is of their own making— in line with their desires and talents.

As a child, I was told that the Arts was not a viable option to make a living. How untrue this turned out to be!

In fact, I have learned that following the passions your potentials are aligned with, allow us to live the best lives for ourselves.

That is the message I want to share, and the path I would like to help pave for people.

台灣創業者常忽略兩大要點
盲點一｜未確認市場需求：痛點不夠痛
邱彥錡以朝著水桶裡倒水比喻：水桶代表新創公司，水則是使用者，至於水桶上有許多孔洞，代表可能造成使用者流失的諸多問題，可能是產品的缺陷、功能的缺失等等。但最大、也最難補的洞，是產品根本沒有打到消費者的痛點，這代表水（使用者）永遠留不下來。

盲點二｜缺乏商業模式驗證：不知道誰會埋單？
精實創業並驗證客戶需求的「最精簡可行產品」（minimum viable product，MVP），是新創不可或缺的歷程。但創業者常有一個特質：主觀意識強烈，一旦自覺做的東西是對的，就會迫不及待募資、宣傳、開發市場，就像本期封面故事所說的「起步犯規」。這在台灣新創圈也很常見。

盲點三｜欠缺國際觀：不知如何走出台灣？
台灣新創也較缺乏國際觀，多數侷限在2300萬人口的國內市場。劉文帥認為，台灣的創業家並不是不想走出去，而是不知道從何做起。這或許跟台灣長期以來以OEM／ODM為主的代工模式有關，看似國際化，但缺少了從生產、設計、行銷、品牌到通路的一條龍國際化訓練。
盲點四｜分類錯誤：三種創業形態分不清
徐玉學解釋，大部分人談新創，都會優先想到「市場權」的新創，這種新創就是很典型的先確認市場需求、採用精實創業投入驗證，擴大商業模式，追求持續擴張。
