    Step Into a Prepared Year

“Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.” (Psalms‬ ‭139:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The thought of stepping into a new year can be scary. What lies ahead in the unknown future?

People have been posting on social media that the new year is like a blank canvas or a blank book, that it is up to you to fill in the empty spaces.

However, God’s word says that all the days ordained for your life have been written in God’s book.

Isn’t it comforting to know that God has seen your future and prepared the way for you? He has seen all the pitfalls set up by the enemy, and has provided the solutions ahead of time.

In the story of Ruth, we see a beautiful picture of the way Jesus prepares our provision in ways that we do not know:

“When she had risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and don’t reproach her. Also pull out some for her from the bundles, and leave it. Let her glean, and don’t rebuke her.” So she gleaned in the field until evening; and she beat out that which she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.” (Ruth‬ ‭2:15-17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Boaz represents our Lord Jesus, and the young men working for him represent the angels. While Ruth was resting, the young men were preparing the barley for Ruth to glean easily.

“You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance.” (Psalms‬ ‭65:11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

This year, be conscious that our loving God has already prepared the way for you. You are stepping into a prepared year, with ‘easy-to-glean’ blessings.

You can even imagine Abba God saying to the angels, “Prepare the year for My child. Put My choicest bounties and abundant gifts in the paths ahead.”

““In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.” (John‬ ‭16:23-24‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Seeing your joy pleases God. Remember to boldly ask from Abba God this year. He wants you to overflow with joy.

There is no need to worry at all about the new year because God has written all your days in His book—trust the Author who is for you and not against you!

When writing your story, God organized it into times and seasons. Understand the truth about God’s appointed time and you will have perfect peace and fruitfulness in every season: https://bit.ly/god-appointed-time

    Feed and Pick up Blessings!

“At meal time Boaz said to her, “Come here, and eat some bread, and dip your morsel in the vinegar.” She sat beside the reapers, and they passed her parched grain, and she ate, and was satisfied, and left some of it. When she had risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and don’t reproach her. Also pull out some for her from the bundles, and leave it. Let her glean, and don’t rebuke her.”” (Ruth‬ ‭2:14-16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

In the Book of Ruth, Boaz, Ruth’s kinsman redeemer, is a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ who redeemed us from slavery to sin. Ruth is a picture of us (the church)—the bride of Christ.

In the passage above, we see Ruth being invited to sit with Boaz and to eat bread together—a picture of close fellowship and feeding on God’s word.

After she ate until she was satisfied, only then did she get up to work. Dear brethren, we must get the order right—feed on God’s word together with Jesus first, before meeting life’s demands out of the revelation and strength we receive from the Word.

Boaz asked his reapers to pull out some sheaves of grain for Ruth. The reapers are a picture of God’s angels who are sent to minister to us.

Good news—we have blessings in our path which are easy to pick up. Instead of strenuous labor, Jesus makes it restful for us—we enjoy maximum blessings with minimal work, and this is the favor of God upon us who are righteous in Christ.

Yesterday I picked up a lovely surprise in my path when a dear reader and patron suddenly sowed a big love gift into our ministry via our Ko-Fi page.
May God multiply his seed in abundance back to him!
I felt so loved by Jesus and that He will surely provide for me, even in the face of so much financial pressure.

Keep feeding on God’s word, and make Jesus a part of that—involve Him by asking Him to reveal the meaning of the Scriptures to you and to give you fresh revelation.

You are going to walk directly into your blessings. They are already ahead of you, in your path!

    Stewarding Revelations and Gifts

“This is the history of the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers. He was a boy with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father’s wives. Joseph brought an evil report of them to their father. Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age, and he made him a coat of many colors. His brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, and they hated him, and couldn’t speak peaceably to him. Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brothers, and they hated him all the more. He said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: for behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and behold, your sheaves came around, and bowed down to my sheaf.” His brothers said to him, “Will you indeed reign over us? Or will you indeed have dominion over us?” They hated him all the more for his dreams and for his words. He dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brothers, and said, “Behold, I have dreamed yet another dream: and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to me.” He told it to his father and to his brothers. His father rebuked him, and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Will I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves down to you to the earth?” His brothers envied him, but his father kept this saying in mind.” ‭‭(Genesis‬ ‭37:2-11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Sometimes God reveals something that’s meant only for us and we make the mistake of telling it to others way too early out of excitement.

Joseph had a powerful gift of receiving prophetic dreams but he was too immature to steward the gift well.

Being excited about the fantastic dreams God gave to him, he blurted them out to his brothers without using proper discernment.

Sometimes there is a long gap between the time we receive a word from the Lord and the time where we’re supposed to release that word to others.

A word spoken at the right time is wonderful—like shooting an arrow straight into the bullseye, demonstrating undoubtedly that our loving God is keenly involved in our daily lives.

“Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time!” ‭‭(Proverbs‬ ‭15:23‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

To release the word we have received at the right time, we can only do it by being led by the Holy Spirit.

Out of the countless challenges and concerns that people face every day, only God can align the right word for the right person at the right time.

Someone reading this has received new gifts from the Holy Spirit and it’s going to feel very exciting.
You feel like sharing this news and your experiences with the whole world, but remember it’s important to use discernment and have patience.

It would have been fine if Joseph only shared his prophetic dreams with Jacob who loved him dearly. It was a mistake to tell them to his brothers.

Be led by the Spirit to avoid others jealously interpreting your pure excitement as boastfulness.

Joseph at the age of seventeen was a pampered child. He was Jacob’s favorite and received preferential treatment.

People who don’t love you won’t tolerate your spoilt and willful behavior.
If you want to be a good steward of your gifts, rely on the Holy Spirit to help you speak with others from a place of love.

When you are walking in love, you will be considerate towards other people’s feelings and avoid saying things that may stumble them.

A word released at the wrong time becomes a source of dissension instead of building others up.

We mustn’t be casual with this. When we understanding what’s at stake, we will steward our words and gifts with love.

Even for this, we have to rely on the Holy Spirit.
We don’t have any true patience, love or discernment in our flesh so we have to receive these fruits from the Holy Spirit.

When you feel overcome by emotion after receiving a word from the Lord, take a moment to breath deeply and still yourself—bring yourself back to a calm state.

Then listen closely to what the indwelling Holy Spirit is saying. Is there a peace towards releasing the word now, or is it to be kept in your heart, meditated upon and released at a later time?

Child of God, be led by the Holy Spirit!
