I had to stop watching The Handmaid’s Tale because it fueled me with so much rage & infuriated me even more as I pumped watching it too. We grow up with periods starting from a young age and are to act like it’s nothing yet it’s the exact reason as to why we can birth the next generation. Why should I apologize for being emotional when I’m on my period? Why? We do pregnancy, give birth then do postpartum dealing with tearing, stitches, uterus shrinking contractions, breast engorgement, sore nipples, ab separation, hair loss, sleep deprivation & we’re supposed to be all smiles all the while? Oh And our period comes back at some point too Until menopause & yet we still earn less than men. “Worldwide, women only make 77 cents for every dollar earned by men.
