This might be a hard conversation but is it time for us to normalize “declining long term partnership” proposals when it comes to figure remuneration? Are we saying no to building potential “long term relationship” or are we saying no to unfairness of fee- who’s here to define it anyway? 😅 Idk- thoughts? 👇🏻

With a heavy heart, I hereby announce my resignation from the Ministry of Health (MOH), and therefore my departure from Hospital Sultan Ismail. My time with the MOH had been an interesting 21 months, encompassing the provision of service in three institutions across Malaysia. I have had the pleasure of serving the rakyat through facilities in Sungai Buloh, Johor Bahru, and Tuaran and at the same time, been given the opportunity to meet and work with many lovely and interesting characters throughout this time. The guidance I obtained, the nurturing I was provided, and the support I have received have been essential in the growth and development of me as an individual, and as a changemaker envisioning a better Malaysia for its rakyat. It would be remiss to not mention that the country is at a crucial juncture when it comes to the welfare, and future prospects, of junior healthcare workers. My aspiration is to see the best possible system being structured and carried out, that will see the best care being provided to the rakyat, while ensuring judicious remuneration being awarded to the healthcare providers for their service. To this end, my efforts will not stem. I would like to thank each and every one of you who have been a part of this incredible adventure; all the best for your endeavours. May our paths cross again in the future, and please do not hesitate to contact me should I potentially be of service. A career in academia has always been enticing, and I am excited to take my first steps in this direction through my employment with Hospital Pengajar Universiti Putra Malaysia (HPUPM). One thing is for certain: I will strive to sow the seeds for impactful, high quality work, nurture them with good old fashion hard work, as well as some smart approaches - and may these seeds blossom in time to come.
