We used to spend so many afternoons having lunch here. It was a reprieve from the hard hard hard heart work of motherhood and all the first time never-ending fears and worries. Us with our tiny bubs crammed into the restaurant, utensils and crackers flying everywhere, various contraptions and never enough high chairs, our sanity time of the week as mama tribe gathered and cried and laughed and breathed out loud holy shit me too. . We ended up here again for lunch again today. The food still as delicious and comforting and hitting all the right spots. . Oh the nostalgia. Oh how we've come a long way. Oh how it's gone by so fast and stood still all at the same time. . Our bubs are now talking, laughing, teasing, toddlers and our tribe has push and pulled and traveled and reassigned to different parts of the world. Holding space for when we are ever on their side, and holding space if they ever come back. But forever and always, we will have those afternoons, those memories, that time of growing and learning and failing and thriving and trying trying trying again because a teeny tiny needed you and your tribe had you. .
