🇭🇰 Carbs is a newest brainchild from owner Wil Fang of Cookie DPT fame, to arrive at the ever-popular H Code building with a focus on the titular staple. We came for its deep dish Detroit-styled pizzas which were thick and heavy on oil, but delicious with toppings including the spicy pepperoni, as well as the Notorious P.I.G. rendition represented by bacon, ham and a mild honey sweetness. Meanwhile, its spicy vodka fusilli was saucy but mild on flavor, while we truly did love the tater tots which were hot and crispy; matched with a smooth garlic butter sauce. Taking over the space previously by Chicken Bar, Carbs carries the mantle by offering a slice of comfort in a semi-open space in the hood; while it's certainly not the top choice for dietitians, Carbs is a fun-filled crib of '90s hip hop vibes, armed with enough grub to fuel any biggie or small's appetite.
