Look at that beautiful glaze and organic form and rim. A friend sent me a bunch of lovely fresh basil from her garden and I had some of the stalks immersed in water to grow roots. Now that they are potted and growing strong, finger-crossed, I hope there will be more pesto pasta to come, or, pesto crusted halibut.

This photo I took at 6am in the morning right after the night he proposed to me, and it was the first time I actually saw the ring itself since real time that happened was nearly midnight, and it was so dark, and we were … crying and sobbing at each other’s words. I understand an engagement ring should be important to those who think it does, it is for me too. But when he knelt down, opened it, I did not even see how it looked like, not even thought much if “it fits me or not?”, I said “Yes” anyway, because for me, right at that moment, I wanted to spend the rest of my life, together with this person. It was already decided on our first date for me, believe it or not. I know many people wonder so much whether they should be with someone, married to someone, having kids with someone, for many reasons in their heads. It never made sense to me with any others before, I did not even question it. I just knew, those were ones came along on my journey and vice versa. When that journey ended, they did too. Not with him, no. That morning I woke up, I felt content, and simply happy. I felt so belonged, so meant to be. It was a simple feeling, not so complex. Being engaged is not a big deal, but knowing those puzzles are well put together, is a happy ending. Although life can still be challenging ahead of us, every time I look at this ring, I remember how long, how far we both went through to find each other, and be together. Checking in to remind myself that life is unpredictable 😄 You think you got it all planned out, for yourself, for your kids, for your job.. Life will have a way to throw you a curve ball to remind you that you are but just a shell. The good thing though is that if there's a soul within the shell then that's where the real superpower is ❤️ And usually it's when you look beyond your shell, you see and sense that soul within, much more clearly ❤️ Before May 20th 1030am, my plan was to mop and clean the whole Punggol flat twice, to be super clean. Then i'd wait for the arrival of the new fridge and washing machine, new bed and sofa, new kitchen appliances and new soft furnishings etc.. So i can take nice pictures of our cozy little place to rent it out. But then i injure my back and the rest is history 🥲😂 Meredith has been nothing but supportive and encouraging. After i came back from the spinning spell and white light, i had to poop like ASAP 🙂 The whole journey from where i knelt down and couldn't stand up, to the toilet was 3-4 metres. I had to crawl to the toilet inch by inch i'm not kidding 😂 The injury must have triggered my poop or smth wth. The whole time i hear Meredith doing low humming and telling me "Slowly, you are getting there mama, slowly, it's okay, it's okay, you are getting there mmmm mmmmm" 🥺 She really is a hero ❤️ This deep humming thing we do at home when we are in pain cox it's a technique i learnt from my first pregnancy birthing class 😅 It supposedly helps to calm you down and the vibration will distract you from the pain. My daughter really put whatever i've taught her to good use. When i was seeing white light and my hearing was muffled, i knew i was gonna pass out. But i told myself NO BITCH YOU STAY YOU BROUGHT MEREDITH HERE YOU NOT GON LEAVE HER ALONE YOU FKING STAY WITH ME BITCH. NOW PRAY. So i prayed and prayed and prayed and i came back okay 🙂 Mind over matter at its finest 😂 Now I'm recovering well and fast with bed rest and painkillers so strong they make me feel xiao high 😅 Here's a picture from when I managed to crawl out to the living room with @meregoround right by my side ❤️
