短片裡朗讀自己創作的故事是我的補習學生。

寫作就是思考，當中要組織自己思考過程而來的零碎想法，讓別人好好理解你所表達的思想。以往教體制的學校時，對著三十幾位學生教寫作，總是覺得很難讓他們真正體會寫作中思考修改分享的整個過程。現在我可以好好地引導孩子去表達自己的想法。

圖一是補習學生的第一稿。很多錯處吧！看罷，我著他首先交待清楚他怎樣拯救了螞蟻，蜘蛛怎樣死，補充細節，讓故事更完整。然後我列出了好幾項自己檢查和修正的地方：
1 Use a capital letter to begin a sentence
2 End a sentence with an end punctuation mark
3 Use past tense
4 Add more interesting details

然後他隨便改了幾個顯眼錯處（圖二），所以我便幫忙讓孩子知道他可以實際做些甚麼去改進。我著學生逐句逐句朗讀出聲，一同檢查上述四項守則，這時他就能發現和改正更多的錯處。也著他圈出他認為很大機會串錯的字，我們一同用 phonics skills 去修改。為了讓原文內容更豐富，除了增加了細節外，我著他思考哪裡可以放 adverbials of time 與 connectives，以及添加形容詞，例如可以形容一下 spider 的外貌。

最後他自己完成了這個版本，他的文字，他的訂正，過程中他會表達自己的想法，對於我的提議會表示不同意，而完成品是屬於孩子的。曾經，多年前，當我還是中學的階段，有位英語老師很喜歡在作文前寫上關於主題的用語、短句、idioms，然後規定我們一定要用，而我多次以自己的文字表達，結果是，她刪去我大部份的文字，寫上她之前在黑板提供的參考用語、短句、idioms，最後我只覺得那不是我的作品。

其實老師仔細批改文法錯誤也沒有大作用，孩子收到老師批改完的作文，看看就算，並不會把改正過來的地方記牢。所以，依我經驗，最好就是陪伴孩子經驗這個寫作過程，一同反覆研究甚麼字更精準去表達：例如 take，grab 還是 snatch 表達到心急粗魯的感覺；一同反覆閱讀，檢查哪裡有錯；一同增刪、調動內容，看看怎樣會有最順耳又清晰有趣的版本。

最後，分享自己的作品。有時我會替孩子編輯自己的作品集小書，有時會寫上一張可以張貼的大 poster report 上（https://www.facebook.com/633911513387110/posts/3076973015747602/?d=n），如這次，我們可以製作短片，自己朗讀故事。作文要與他人分享才有寫作的意義。

很老土的一句話，學習的過程才最重要，老師把原稿的所有錯處都改正過來又如何，只有與孩子一同經歷創作的過程，思考怎樣改進才是真正的學習。
