    Ever since the pandemic started, I prefer contactless payment method because it’s so much easier and reliable.

    Tech For Good Asia Webinar – Bridging the Digital Divide for the Elderly

    Tech For Good Asia, along with Solis Strategy, co-organised a webinar to discuss the difficulties that the elderly encountered during the pandemic and how technology could help them overcome the barriers and stay connected.

    Session 1: How difficult it was for the elderly during the pandemic?

    During the pandemic and with all the social distancing measures, many senior citizens have found themselves falling behind the rest of the population. The lockdown measures intensified the conflicts among family members and might even lead to abusive behaviours towards the elderly. In some cases it was reported that some became clinically depressed and even had suicidal thoughts due to prolonged social isolation.

    In this webinar, we invited Ms. Cheryl Fung, Chief Operating Officer, Senior Citizen Home Safety Association to share with us their experience during this difficult time.

    「Tech For Good Asia」及與合作夥伴「Solis Strategy」合辦了網上研討會，這研討會透過錄影製作，並會剪輯成六個部份去了解去年疫情下長者面對的困難以及解決方法。

    環節一：長者在疫情中面對的困難

    去年以來的疫情期間，香港實施出入境近乎封關、保持社交距離及相關限制措施等，以上措施都為社區帶來不少問題，尤其對老人家的影響更為嚴重。唔講唔知，原來疫情期間在家工作會令長者和家人的矛盾變得更加嚴重，而家長者與其他人之間關係變得疏離，缺乏社交，甚至令他們萌生自殺念頭，除了長者外，照顧者也壓力大增等等。

    好高興邀請到長者安居協會一線通平安鐘的業務營運總監馮志恒女士為大家講解長者在疫情中在生活上及心理上面對的困難，以上短片他們會透過分享個案經驗讓大家更了解社區上的問題以及如何透過科技協助長者渡過難關。

    近日在蘇格蘭北部的馬里河口灣，遊客對海豚的騷擾有明顯增加。 不少駕著帆船或使用獨木舟等的遊客故意追逐及騷擾海豚，而這些行為對海豚造成壓力、影響牠們捕食及會導致牠們受傷。

    The harassment of dolphins, seals and whales are increasing in the Moray Firth in northern Scotland. people with sailing boats and kayaks are cashing and harassing dolphins intentionally. These actions are creating stress, affecting their feeding behaviours and can cause injuries to these dolphins.
