Life is hectic, exhausted with Covid. . Last week was hard. The kind of week where you feel like you aren’t made for this. . When your baby boy isn’t feeling too good, the world seemed to have came to a halt. Nothing else felt relevant. All you can do is anything and everything to keep him feeling well and comfortable. . A recurring fever of 39°C and having diarrhea for almost 5 days is one of the short list of reasons why you’d want to even step foot into the hospital. The doc said in normalcy she would’ve like to admit Tyrese but it’s totally our call. To fall sick and being admitted into the hospital during this Covid-19 pandemic is no fun. There are so much to think and consider before admitting our baby boy. As most of us know private hospitals nationwide have given their cooperation in the treatment of Covid-19 patients. One thing that really got us worried is that we might catch the virus from the hospital. . After half an hour of discussion, we opted for the admission because Tyrese had blood in his stool and by the look of our paediatrician, we knew it’s not a good sign. Immediately they took us to the emergency room, had our Covid test and some other blood tests done for Tyrese. Being in the emergency room was the scariest, because all Covid patients will be placed there before admitting them. Looking at the hospital condition with overcrowded hallways, exhausted medical staffs and just coming out of isolation ourselves, it’s no joke. I am trusting as we do the the possible, our god will do the impossible! . Thank god our Covid test came back negative, but Tyrese had to battle with salmonella infection 😢. It’s not easy but my boy is strong. The reason why we didn’t send him in earlier is because he was still eating, drinking and active as usual, plus the hospital is not where you want to be right now.
