🁢 你喜歡怎樣的人生？”Go with the wind” or “Beat the wind"?

最近聽了 No Stupid Questions 裡頭的一集，主持人 Angela 和 Steven 在討論 Go with the wind 和 beat the wind 兩種人生態度。

前著較隨性、隨緣，人生不強求太多事情，也有些隨遇而安的態度。如同父母親希望小孩「快快樂樂地長大」般。

後者很積極、目標導向，培養熱情、毅力是人生很重要的一個面向，對成就極感興趣，希望在短短的一生能爲自己、為社會做出些什麼。

你覺得你比較屬於哪一種呢？(Which type do you identify yourself with?)

我以前一秒鐘就會說 I’m definitely the beat-the-wind type。不管原因是亞洲的社會和西方精英教育所給的價值觀、還是天生喜歡挑戰（還是因爲火象星座 😂），時時刻刻想在教學上追求卓越。

為了放鬆而在咖啡廳坐著，是在台灣工作的自己不太會做的。去咖啡廳，一定要帶著電腦、最好有插座，這樣就算放鬆，也做點什麼，不浪費時間（我知道這句話很有爭議 😌）。

但如果你說我不懂得 go with the wind, 叫我看看歐洲人如何享受生活，一整天躺草地曬太陽、吃Yogurt、跑一趟郵局就過了，我可能也會不服氣地跟你說，那是因為我的工作內容就是我喜歡的，所以就算工作也不太像在工作
(可怕的美國 passion-is-the-key 思維？😂)

但有時又會在看到像太魯閣號事故的無常、看完電影 SOUL (靈魂急轉彎) 時、看到狗狗純粹地笑容時、或遇到生離死別時覺得更應該要學習 go with the wind。有目標很好，但認真活在當下也很重要。

也許，在兩著間追求平衡，才是在活在像快轉般瞬息萬變且無常的世界中最好的方式。講了這樣的話，可能天性會讓我下一秒鐘我還是跑回了beat-the-wind type.

但至少我告訴自己可以學學 #Dance to the wind while beating the wind.
