vaccine n. 疫苗
KK[vækˋsin] 或是 [ˋvæksin]
這個單字的重音位置有兩個地方，在第一音節和第二音節，都可以。課程以美國老師發音作為依據，這是比較常聽到的發音。
第01例句：
I'm still thinking about whether to get the vaccine or not. I'm afraid of the side effects.
我仍在在考慮是否打疫苗。我很怕副作用。
講解：think about 考慮；side effect 副作用；whether to + V ~ or not (是否去做~)
第02例句：
A: Did you get the vaccine?
B: No, it's still really complicated to get it.
A: 你打疫苗了嗎？

2. excel yourself:
The British team have excelled themselves this year to reach the finals.
3. excel人in/at sth :
She excels him in knowledge.
He excels them all at swimming.
可見excel不只可以用於人，也可以用於事物喔～
