“May his soul rest in peace. He is in Heaven now.” The world says words like these to console those who are grieving, but if the deceased died without receiving Jesus as Lord, then there is no peace for him.

His spirit has descended to Hell and is being tormented day and night with no rest. The world doesn’t even want to think about that possibility—it is too scary. They say “rest in peace” to people who spend their whole lives rejecting Jesus, spurning the suffering and death He died on behalf of these people.

At the cross, the Son of God, Jesus, carried all the sins of the world throughout time, bled Himself dry as a payment for those sins, and died to establish the New Covenant of Grace whereby God can be good to us based on what Jesus did.

On the third day after His death, He rose from the dead to eternal life as a divine proclamation that God accepted the sacrifice of Himself, and that all our sins have been justly forgiven. Just by placing our faith in Jesus, making Him our personal Lord and Savior, we receive salvation as a free gift, and Jesus’ righteousness is set to our account. This is the Good News which we call “The Gospel”!

The holy burden for souls is always there for those who desire to serve the Lord. We share in that urgency towards snatching souls out of the fire.

Every day, God leads me to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ at least twice a day, mostly to edify the church, but most importantly to sow seeds of the Gospel in the hearts of unbelievers, so that hopefully at the right time and season in their lives, they will be convicted by the Holy Spirit and place their faith in Jesus as Lord. I see my work as partnering with God to save lives!

This world needs more Gospel laborers to go out into the harvest fields. So many precious souls descending into the fire every second. That is the greatest tragedy! Ask the Lord how you can join hands in His work of reaching the lost, based on the giftings that you have received from Him.
