上次提及到 Applicant Tracking System (ATS) 的流程與運作概念，今篇將會與大家分享一些平時能戰勝 ATS 的小技巧，希望大家能命中 HR 得到所想職位。

首先，你的 CV 所提及的經驗、職位需要針對你所申請的職位而進行特定調整。例如，「Project Manager」是一個職位的統稱，Construction 界中有 Project Manager、IT 界有 Project Manger、Event & Marketing 又有 Project Manager。你需要在 CV 中加上更多關鍵字進行職位描述，例如 「Project Manager - Software Development」、「Project Manager - Digital Transformation」。否則，在第一步已經被 ATS 所篩走。

第二，在 CV 中的技能上需要詳列每種職業特定的行內用語、專業技能以增加被 ATS 選中的機會。例如：在 Cloud System Engineer 的職位中，需要命中 「SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Microsoft Azure, AWS」等；在Digital Marketing 的職位，需要命中「Google Analytics、Google AdWords、Facebook Ads Manager」 等。ATS 會以關鍵字的命中率來評分，愈高命中率的評分便會愈高，ATS 亦會評定為最關聯 CV (Relevant Candidate)。

第三，用字的藝術。在 ATS 中，CV 所使用的專業術語，都建議不要只使用縮寫，而是要加上括號註解，例如 FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities)、NLP（Natural Language Processing)，可以提升 ATS 在進行 Keywords screening 時對你 CV 的接納程度。

最後，在 CV 的 Format 和 Layout 上。ATS 對 CV 的 Screening 有特定的 Section Headline，即是 ATS 會透過 「Work Experience」、「Education」進行分析，因為並不建議 CV 採用其他特別、花巧的用字，如 “All about Work”、”My Learning” 等等。在字體上，一般 ATS 都只接納大眾認可的字體，如Times New Roman、Arial、Calibri。避免使用過於華麗 (有機會令 ATS 出現亂碼) 的字體。

現在不少 ATS 都接納直接 upload CV 再進行 Online Application。這點需要小心，不少 ATS 會打散了你 CV 的 format 和內容，令到整個 ATS 中的 Candidate Profile 雜亂無章。根據 HR 的經驗表示10 個 candidate 中有 4 個都根本沒有 double check，所收到的 ATS application 錯亂百出，完全可以直接 delete。雖然 CV upload 是方便，但亦必須 upload 後再三 double check 你 CV 的內容是否 feed 到正確的 section。

Oxford Dictionaries add 'clicktivism' and 'haterade' as new words for angry times
牛津字典看待川普的新字創造

Donald Trump's linguistic dexterity may be questionable, but the US president's lexicon has had an impact on the English language, which is reflected in the latest additions to oxforddictionaries.com, the online reference guide to current English.
川普的語言技巧可能受人質疑，但這位美國總統的常用語已對英語造成了影響，這在最新增補的牛津線上詞典中可見一斑。牛津線上詞典是流行英語的參考指南。

New coinages that reflect the latest wave of online political activism form a significant section of more than 300 new definitions in the database, which is a sister work to the Oxford English Dictionary.
反映最新一波網路政治活動的新字已在這個資料庫中組成了300多個新條目。牛津線上字典是「牛津英語大詞典」的姐妹版。

Additions including "clicktivism" (a pejorative word for armchair activists on social media), "haterade" (excessive negativity, criticism, or resentment), "otherize" (view or treat – a person or group of people – as intrinsically different from and alien to oneself) and "herd mentality" (the tendency for people's behavior or beliefs to conform to those of the group to which they belong) all emerged during the 2016 battle for the White House, said head of content development Angus Stevenson.

"Superfruit", a nutrient-rich fruit considered to be especially beneficial for health and wellbeing; HIIT, the acronym for high-intensity interval training; and "third gender", a category of people who do not identify simply as male or female, all made it into the online database.

Social media were the source for many of the new coinages, though most were the kind of compounds that would have language purists clutching their pearls. "Craptacular" (remarkably poor and disappointing), "bronde" (hair dyed both blond and brunette) and "fitspiration" (a person or thing that serves as motivation for someone to sustain or improve health and fitness) all made the cut.

Citing the word "vlog", he said ugly-sounding words tended not to gain very wide currency. He added: "They have to have a euphonious sound."
