As a country, we have many strengths to be proud of, but our greatest strength is our people.

- making hand sanitizers
- sewing facemasks
- delivering food to the quarantined
- refurbishing laptops for disadvantaged kids
- caring for migrant workers
- vaccinating the elderly
- or showing a little extra kindness to one another, starting young

In this moment of crisis, Singaporeans have continued to look ahead, and to pour heart and soul into our hopes and dreams. In ordinary times, we may not realise how strong Singaporeans can be. Now, in the crisis of a generation, we have shown ourselves and the world what Singaporeans can do.

เชนผู้ผลิต และจำหน่ายเฟอร์นิเจอร์รายใหญ่ของโลก “IKEA” ที่ปัจจุบันมีสาขามากกว่า 415 แห่งใน 49 ประเทศทั่วโลก ได้ปรับโมเดลธุรกิจครั้งใหญ่ จากเดิมที่ผลิต และจำหน่ายแก่ผู้บริโภคในรูปแบบ “Flat-pack” หรือแพ็คเกจจิ้งแบบแบนบรรจุชิ้นส่วนเฟอร์นิเจอร์ ที่ทำให้การบริหารพื้นที่คลังสินค้า และการขนส่งมีประสิทธิภาพ ในขณะเดียวกันลูกค้าสามารถนำกลับไปประกอบเองได้สะดวก

ความเคลื่อนไหวล่าสุดของ Retailer ธุรกิจเฟอร์นิเจอร์สัญชาติสวีเดนรายนี้ จากเดิมเป็นโมเดลค้าปลีกอย่างเดียว แต่ขณะนี้กำลังเริ่มทดลองโมเดลธุรกิจใหม่ นั่นคือ การเปิดให้บริการ “เช่าเฟอร์นิเจอร์” แบบลิสซิ่ง (การเช่าแบบลิสซิ่ง (Leasing) มีลักษณะคล้ายกับสัญญาเช่าซื้อ คือ ผู้เช่าต้องชำระเงินิค่าเช่าเป็นงวด ๆ ตามจํานวนเงินและเวลาที่กำหนดในสัญญาเช่า ต่างกันตรงที่เมื่อสิ้นสุดสัญญาเช่า ผู้เช่าสามารถเลือกได้ว่าจะซื้อ ต่อสัญญาเช่า หรือส่งคืนทรัพย์ให้กับผู้เช่า)

บริการให้เช่าเฟอร์นิเจอร์ครั้งแรก จะเริ่มทดลองที่ IKEA สวิสเซอร์แลนด์ภายในเดือนนี้ โดยจะให้เช่าแบบลิสซิ่งเฟอร์นิเจอร์หลายประเภท นำร่องเจาะกลุ่มลูกค้าองค์กร (B2B) และคาดหวังว่าจะขยายบริการนี้ไปยังตลาดผู้บริโภคทั่วไป (B2C) ซึ่งโมเดลให้เช่า จะทำให้ IKEA ต้องปรับเปลี่ยนการสมัครสมาชิกให้มีรูปแบบแตกต่างกัน

“เราทำงานร่วมกับพาร์ทเนอร์ เพื่อให้ลูกค้าเช่าเฟอร์นิเจอร์ของ IKEA และเมื่อระยะเวลาเช่าสิ้นสุดลง ลูกค้าสามารถส่งคืนมาที่เราได้ หากสนใจเช่าเฟอร์นิเจอร์อื่นเพิ่มเติม ก็ทำสัญญาเช่าต่อได้ เพราะแทนที่ลูกค้าจะทิ้งเฟอร์นิเจอร์ที่ใช้แล้ว เราให้บริการรูปแบบเช่า เมื่อลูกค้าเอามาคืน เราเอามา Refurbish เฟอร์นิเจอร์เหล่านั้น” Torbjorn Loof ผู้บริหาร Inter IKEA ให้สัมภาษณ์ Financial Times

บริการใหม่ดังกล่าว เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของยุทธศาสตร์การปรับเปลี่ยนโมเดลธุรกิจ จากเดิมตั้งสาขาขนาดใหญ่นอกเมือง และให้ลูกค้าเดินทางไปซื้อสินค้าด้วยตัวเอง แต่เมื่อไม่นานได้ยักษ์ธุรกิจค้าปลีกเฟอร์นิเจอร์รายนี้ ได้เปิดสาขารูปแบบใหม่ ขนาดเล็กลง ตั้งใจกลางเมือง เพื่อเข้าถึงผู้คนได้มากขึ้น อีกทั้งเปิดแพลตฟอร์มออนไลน์ เพื่อสร้างความสะดวกให้ผู้บริโภคซื้อสินค้าผ่านออนไลน์ อีกทั้งบริการให้เช่า ทำให้ลูกค้าสามารถเปลี่ยนเฟอร์นิเจอร์ได้ง่ายขึ้น

ที่สำคัญเป็นการต่อจิ๊กซอว์เป้าหมายปี 2030 สินค้าทุกชิ้นที่วางจำหน่าย ต้องทำมาจากวัสดุทดแทน หรือรีไซเคิล และในกระบวนการผลิต ต้องลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกลง 70% ต่อหนึ่งผลิตภัณฑ์ ซึ่งตอบรับเทรนด์ “Circular Economy” คือ ระบบเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน ด้วยการบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรที่มีอยู่อย่างจำกัด และลดของเสียที่เกิดการผลิต การบริโภค และการใช้ กลับเข้าสู่กระบวนการที่สามารถนำกลับมาสร้างคุณค่าได้อีก เพื่อลดปริมาณขยะที่เกิดขึ้นจากการบริโภค-ใช้สิ่งของต่างๆ และทำให้เกิดการใช้ทรัพยากรให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด ซึ่งภายใต้นิยามของ Circular Economy ประกอบด้วยหลายแนวทาง เช่น Reuse, Refurbishing, Recycling และ Upcycling เพื่อใช้ทรัพยากรให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด

Torbjorn Loof กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า “บริการให้เช่าแบบลิสซิ่ง จะเริ่มให้บริการในกลุ่มเฟอร์นิเจอร์สำนักงาน เช่น โต๊ะ – เก้าอี้ทำงานสำหรับกลุ่มลูกค้าองค์กร ( B2B) ซึ่งจะเป็นลูกค้ากลุ่มแรกที่เราทดลองโมเดลธุรกิจใหม่นี้”

นอกจากนี้ใน Daily Mail รายงานว่า IKEA หวังจากขยายบริการให้เช่าแบบลิสซิ่ง ไปยังกลุ่มผู้บริโภคทั่วไป (B2C)

“เป็นเรื่องที่น่าสนใจถ้าผู้บริโภคพูดว่า การให้เช่าเฟอร์นิเจอร์จะทำให้ฉันสามารถเปลี่ยน และปรับห้องครัวให้ดูทันสมัยขึ้นได้” Torbjorn Loof กล่าวเพิ่มเติม

ทั้งนี้ ที่ผ่านมา “IKEA” ได้เริ่มดำเนินธุรกิจบนแนวคิด “Circular Economy” มาสักระยะหนึ่งแล้ว โดยก่อนหน้านี้ ได้ให้บริการรับซื้อคืนเฟอร์นิเจอร์ เช่น IKEA ประเทศญี่ปุ่น เพื่อนำชิ้นส่วนไปรีไซเคิล และเมื่อช่วง 2 ปีที่ผ่านมา ทดสอบโปรแกรมรับซื้อคืนแล้วที่ฟินแลนด์ โดยสมาชิกบัตร IKAM Family ในฟินแลนด์ จะได้รับบัตรกำนัลสำหรับการนำเฟอร์นิเจอร์เก่ามาเปลี่ยน จากนั้น IKEA นำเฟอร์นิเจอร์ที่รับซื้อคืน ไปบริจาคให้กับองค์กรการกุศลท้องถิ่น เพื่อทำให้เกิดประโยชน์การใช้สูงสุด

It is an Old Story, that happened by chance.
Along a narrow alleyway, in the most ancient district of Tainan City, is an old blue building called Chi Kan West House. It is a fusion of classic Taiwanese and Western styles, having traditional octagonal windows embellished with silver frames and ironwork.
Chi Kan West House is not just the resurrection of an old building back to its heyday, but more the voice of an opera,singer vocalizing a 94-year-old song of Tainan and the inheritance of a culture.
Chi Kan West House is a four and a half-storied blue building hidden in a narrow alleyway of the prefectural city of Tainan. It is a blend of Taiwanese and Western architecture. When stage one was constructed in 1924 it was one story tall but in 1953 stories were added to become the second tallest building in the city, Hayashi Department Store being the first.
The building’s renovation into a four-story building was because of the filial piety of the Hong Family brothers for their mother. She was not only elderly, but also had bound feet, and the location and height of Chikan enabled her to watch the Taiwanese Operas performed on stage at Fort Provintia.
However, time goes by, and all good shows must end. Eventually, this old house became a long-neglected building with its elegance fading away.
It was not until 2014, under strange and unimaginable circumstances that a married couple bought the old house. With a large investment, exceeding their budget, they insisted on refurbishing instead of demolishing it. To preserve it, they had to recruit local elderly masters whose carpentry skills will soon to be lost. It was finally restored into a historical site, embellishing again the glory of its original appearance. Now Chi Kan West House is again unique among its contemporaries not only reborn, but also revitalizing its neighborhood.

I recently bought an old sound blimp 2nd hand for most part it looks good and useful, but only the deadcat didn't look at fluffy as it should. It looked more like a poodle than a cat. However instead of just directly ordering a replacement, I try fixing it. As I know Rycote normally supply a comb with new deadcats, so I tried to just do that and comb it. And it works quite good and the result was that is looks like a brand new Deadcat and it works better than before.
