【營銷策略？】「表裏不一」的 LGBTQ維權者

作為由媒體業內的性小眾群體創辦、媒體監察組織Glaad的年度媒體獎的長期贊助商，現代汽車今年在性小眾民事權利倡議組織人權戰線（Human Rights Campaign Foundation）評選的LGBTQ人士最佳工作場所排名中獲得了滿分。現代汽車美國市場推廣總監澤佩達（Angela Zepeda）在4月發表的一份聲明中表示，公司「很自豪能與那些每天為LGBTQ權益而戰的組織合作。」儘管現代汽車在美國如此高調，但在總部所在地韓國──這個普遍歧視同性戀和跨性別人士的國家──卻極少表現支持LGBTQ的跡象。

韓國男同志人權組織朋友之間的總幹事李東杰（音譯）指出，現代汽車對國內的抗爭坐視不理。「人們以為，如果這間公司秉持認可LGBTQ群體並與他們並肩作戰的信念，那麼它在韓國國內也會這樣做。但現代汽車知道，這對他們沒有半點好處，」他說，「每個人都保持沈默。」當被問及現代汽車如何安排LGBTQ僱員政策時，公司發言人稱，公司承諾按照法律要求為所有員工提供同等的福利和機會。然而，韓國並不承認同性婚姻及同性伴侶關係。

費盡心思在美國吸引LGBTQ消費者，且極力營造包容LGBTQ僱員的工作環境的亞洲汽車製造商不只現代汽車一個。豐田（Toyota）和富士汽車 （Subaru）的美國子公司也在人權戰線2021年的企業平等指數中得到了滿分。這項指數反映哪些公司採取了能保障LGBTQ平等權益的政策。

而正如現代汽車在韓國一樣，據日本首個LGBTQ中心東京驕傲之家（Pride House Tokyo）的創辦人、公布日本僱主驕傲指數（Japan’s Pride Index of employers）的組織主席松中剛稱，日本汽車製造商對本土的平權運動並不像在海外那樣上心。「在日本，汽車製造商在對外宣傳LGBTQ意識和權益方面做得並不多，」他說，「這些公司在海外為LGBTQ作出努力令它們在美國的指數中得分甚高，但它們卻很少在本國有所行動。」──Bruce Einhorn、Kyunghee Park、River Davis；譯 曉立
