Act：法、條例、通則
　例如：Accounting Act 會計法、Real Estate Broking Management Act 不動產經紀業管理條例、The Act Governing Local Tax Regulations地方稅法通則
＊基本法性質之法律，使用Code。 e.g. Civil Code（民法）, Criminal Code（刑法）。

Regulation：規程、規則、辦法、綱要、準則
例如：中央銀行處務規程The Regulations for Departmental Affairs of the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan)、土地登記規則 Regulations Of The Land Registration、一定活度或比活度以下放射性廢棄物管理辦法 Regulations for Management of Radioactive Waste below Certain Activity or Specific Activity、社區發展工作綱要 Regulations on Community Development Work、中央銀行人事管理準則 Regulations Governing Personnel Management of the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan)

Enforcement Rules：施行細則
　例如：土地稅法施行細則 The Enforcement Rules of the Land Tax Act (2002)

Part：編
例如：The Part of Succession of the Civil Code 民法繼承編

Standard：標準
例如：一般食品衛生標準 Sanitation Standard for General Foods

(即使是中華民國法規，有部分也有不一致情況，但大部分用法都相同)
