On a beautiful and warm Wednesday evening in early September, I was invited to an event organized by @drinkchile, celebrating Chile’s commitment to sustainability. ​ ​ The setting was beautifully laid out at @brooklyngrange , providing one of kind experience and with gorgeous view of Brooklyn and Manhattan. ​ ​ Did you know more than 80% of the exported Chilean wine are certified for sustainability and social responsibility? ​ ​ Wines of Chile Sustainability Code, launched in 2010, is an initiative that provides guidelines for wineries to obtain the certification. Considered one of the most extensive accreditation program in the world, Wines of Chile Sustainability Code’s standards are broken into four areas: farming practices, work in the winery (including bottling and packaging), social responsibility, and tourism with 346 requirements in total. ​ ​ In 10 years, there are 76 wineries certified by the Wines of Chile Sustainability Code, representing almost 85 % of Chilean wine exported. Impressive, right? ​ ​ There were more than 40 certified wineries exhibiting at the event. Two weeks ago, I attended my very first in person tasting after long pause of the pandemic. ​ ​ Not gonna lie that I miss the trade tastings so much, not only for back in the game but networking with people. ​ ​ I loved the set up that @chianticlassico ​put together. The venue was very well organized in terms of presenting the wines to the attendees as well as for the staff members to work with. Bravo @chianticlassico @ieemusa, @drinkeatlove , and the team! 錯誤並不可恥，不認錯誤才可悲；錯誤並不可悲，應對的態度才可恨 Keep your distance from people who will never admit they are wrong and who always try to make you feel everything is your fault while you are totally right. Compared to success, fault/ failure might be more vulnerable than that. BUT only when you learn from that, embrace that and then correct it, improve it. #錯誤，其實是一個很難能可貴的東西，比起成功來說。 知錯能改，善莫大焉。他可以是你邁向成功的墊腳石，也可能是你躊躇不決，無法前進的原因。 水能載舟，亦能覆舟； 一顆老鼠屎能壞了一鍋粥，一個黃金也能從此打亮了你的招牌。 The water that bears the boat is the same that swallows it up. 上位者，通常都是那些能分明是非的人 不會為了要刻意討好他人，往他臉上貼金，而忽略他人錯誤而怪罪在無辜的人身上 舉例來說，餐廳主管遇到客人無理取鬧的要求或完全是客人錯的情況，會是 1. 跟客人說不好意思，都是我們員工的不對 2. 不好意思，真的並非我們的疏失。（心想，這種level的客人不要也罷，我們可不缺他這一個） 媽媽帶小孩出門，自己小孩與別人小孩起衝突在先，會是 1. 不分辨是非，對自己小孩說: 沒關係我們不要理他，沒有教養的人 2. 弄清是非，對別人的小孩說: 不好意思是我們的不對，請小孩道歉 毫無寵溺，毫不偏頗，不扭曲是非 一個團體的文化，不僅是一個老闆或是眾多主管，更是由每一個個體塑造出來的。你想吸引到怎樣的人，先成為那個你理想的狀態吧！ 遇到那種不懂基本「#尊重」與對自己「#專業」要求的人，我想也不需要浪費時間在他們身上。 不要因為「位高」「權重」就忘記了「#謙卑」與「尊重」，不要忘記那個當初爬起來的自己，時時懷感恩的心，廣結善緣，自動善報會來。 Don’t forget #gratitude when you become successful. Stay hungry stay modest. Remember those people who help you become the person who you are today. How you treat others is the same way they treat you. 真正成功的上位者是「賞罰分明」與「尊重謙卑」的，人人見到他都如如沐春風，欽羨敬佩，在他人口中的他也都會是讚不絕口。 「惡有惡報善有善報，人在做天在看」我想這完全是有的。 毋需對無聊的人事物影響你的心情、改變你的做事風格，只求問心無愧。 時間應該浪費在美好的事物上，而不是浪費在討論無聊的人事物身上。 這花費的時間，與其碎嘴無聊的人事物，去跟一個成功人士聊天吸取他們身上的經驗，是完全兩極的結果。 一個就像是數軸在０的位置，往左「負」極移動；另一個是往右「正」極移動，最後出來的距離（結果），會是相差兩倍的效果。 帶腦做事，盡好自己的本分，尊重你的「#專業」；如果你自己都不知道在做甚麼，不重視自己的工作「#態度」，連基本的「#尊重」也別想從他人身上取得了。 Bring your brain to work and be responsible for that. Organized and efficient. Know what you are doing.
