The milk will increase when you have enough rest” OBVIOUSLY we KNOW that But when you are constantly feeding, burping, changing babies, pumping and putting them to sleep, there is no “rest”. You look at the clock and THEN another round of feeding, burping....is on the horizon How can we get good rest ? How to relax? . Dealing with swollen nipples, a stiff neck and back due to always looking down at the pumping machine. My "stretched out" look to the breasts is saddening , the wrist pain due to the hand expressing pump When I see myself in the mirror with my messy hair, I ask myself, “Who am I ? Where is Kayla” . Once in a while, when the pumping results aren’t what you hoped for. I just can’t help but to tear up when I see the empty pumping bottle I have been trying so hard to drink all kinds of soups for lactose I haven’t touched any fried, oily foods or any foods that can decrease lactose production Spending money for variety teas and pills, Where’s all the milk going? . I can only dream of all the extra time I will have when I stop breastfeeding I can focus on losing weight I can eat the foods I like I don’t have to suffer from backaches or neck stiffness . But Only if I can just give up that easy . Motherhood is maternal instinct Every time when I’m about to give up, I see their faces and tell myself “Maybe I’ll try one more month then...” “Maybe I should go and buy more stuff for lactation ...” “Maybe I should try to eat Blabla to lactose...” . Only if I can just give up that easy . Every drop of breast milk is mothers’ hard work We only hope to give the best and the most nutritious food supply for our babies Even though I keep saying I wanna stop but I catch myself still holding the pumping machine . Because only if I can just give up that easy . This road is very tough but I’m still trying, how about you!?
