Lots of you are interested in visiting 𝕋𝕒𝕚 𝕆 too, so here are the details of our trip and some tips on exploring this fishing village! 🌟 #explorewithbpw ———————————————————————— 𝕋𝕠 𝕕𝕠𝕤: 📸 There’re lots of insta-worthy spots! (We’ve included the address of each one in the photos for your convenience!) ⛰ We wanted to hike up Fu Shan which is known for its amazing sunset views! But we had to catch our 5pm ferry. Please explore this trail for us! 🤩 #hikewithbpw ———————————————————————— 𝕋𝕠 𝕖𝕒𝕥𝕤: 🦑 While walking through the back alleys, you’ll meet vendors of all sorts of local foods e.g. 莎翁、炭燒雞蛋仔、燒魷魚鬚、大魚蛋🤤 ☕️ @taiobanyantree is the perfect getaway from the crowd to enjoy a homemade cake with a riverside view! This cafe was featured on @netflix ! ———————————————————————— 𝕋𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕤𝕡𝕠𝕣𝕥: 🚗 We parked our car at 兆禧苑停車場 and took the ferry from Tuen Mun Pier. 🐕 Dogs are only allowed on the bigger boats (aka the slow ones 🙄) and need to be leashed and muzzled. Tickets cost the same as humans’ ones. We are allowed to sit in the AC room too! ⛴ The ride took around 90 mins and had two stops (Tung Chung and Sha Lo Wan) before arriving at Tai O. ☎️ They don’t have big ferries everyday so do call to check their schedule beforehand! ⏰ We arrived at the pier an hour ahead of scheduled departure time but tickets already sold out. We had to wait two hours for the next ferry. Glad there’re some dog-friendly restaurants/cafes nearby ( @fantasycoffeetm at G/F Richland Garden)! Be smart. Arrive at least two hours ahead to buy your tickets. Don’t be like us. 🚕 Or you can get a taxi from Tung Chung. ———————————————————————— 𝕋𝕚𝕡𝕤: 🐈 Tai O is also known for its feline inhabitants, make sure not to scare them! 🐕 Most village dogs are friendly except for the black dog near the govt office at Kat Hing street, who chased us down the street 💦 Rmb to stay hydrated! Pretzel wore his @ruffwear cooling vest and we sprayed water on them from time to time in order to cool off.

Stopping to stroke every/any animal on my travels is a ritual! Saw many working horses in Europe.Fear not! Most horses were healthy, loved & not overworked- all but a young scrawny one kept muzzled in the sun 😞. When i approached the owner he replied "would you rather he bite you?" Oh a piece of my mind he did receive 😡 Which also brings me to share this; I have never been able to 'sit on any animal for a ride'.A once sobbing 8 yr old me raised my little voice at dad when he tried to coax me on my first elephant ride.He did not listen & i finally said, "how would you like it if someone sat on your neck acha?!" It really is RESPECT for me.Respect for a living being.How do i literally sit on a living moving being? Animals are wild & free.Most working animals endure brutal spirit- breaking training to abide instructions.Do not do what you wish not done unto you yes?
