I chose MEMUSE as my first concept look book not only because it is a brand by my dear friend Risa Aizawa, but because of the ideas behind her brand. Her concept is “a battle dress for those who value their personality.” She comes from a background of being a maid and a well-beloved idol based in Akihabara, the 2.5D fantasy-meets-reality mecca town of pop city electrical lights, anime figurines, and cosplay. And thus, she brings a fresh perspective especially for those of us who wear uniforms, suits, and even fantasy-anime fighter cosplay outfits into the world of fashion. This creativity imbued into the well established uniform clothing transform the necessary into a unique style to face the world. Choose your own battle dress.
