A story I will never forget ☀︎︎ It was my first time EVER hitchhiking and if you would’ve asked me 2 weeks ago, I always thought this was a reality that only existed in movies.

But now, 10 days after putting up my thumb up for the first time, we hitchhiked over 5000 KM over one of the largest countries of the world: Brazil.

The country where the word danger is one of the first words that comes up in people’s mind. Well, let me share my experience with you.

There was not a single time Mar and I ever felt like we were in danger. Of course we were smart about where we were standing and always followed our intuition, but most of my life I thought Brazil was dangerous, dangerous, dangerous - and that’s pretty much it.

Only few people talk about the breathtaking landscapes, such as the outer-worldly Amazon Jungle, the beautiful mountains and pure coast beaches by the ocean; the cultural richness and diversity, with kind-hearted, selfless, giving locals of this amazing country, and the incredible energy that lingers in the air almost every where you go.

Good and bad always exists. But the lens we each wear to look through life with, is subjective. What we focus on is what we often get. And the lens of oneness (seeing everything at interlinked, interdependent and connected, instead of separate), is one that I choose to wear every single day. 😊

As mentioned, Chef Owner here used to head a Cantonese Kitchen in a well known Hotel. But his Passion was in Roasting Meat, so he opened this 🤐😛. After visiting a few times, I think it's their Roast Goose 燒鵝 which is the best consistent item.. The marination & stuffing is sophisticated, leaning on heavier fruity shallots side with hint of spice. Skin is Crispy, and unlike 棋哥燒鵝 Kee's Roast Goose which started giving out skinny 皮包骨燒鵝 after they over expanded & can't feed their own geese properly (albeit they have the Lychee wood aroma), here the Geese quality is great and they use both Male & Females depending on different seasons..

叉燒 Charsiu is also very decent here but 1 time was drier, I think if you really understood Charsiu then you might have paid attention that it randomly serves you different parts of the interlinked butchered 'Muscles'.. I have said this before, either u know exactly which part you want to order, or every visit its going to be slightly different if you happened to get the drier muscles part 1 day, or the Roasting was off that day, which happens in cooking. I normally just keep it random unless if I ordered it for Elderlies in the family, as that's normal daily eating plus let's keep some best parts for others serendipitously.. 🤔

豉油雞 Soy Chicken here is very silky smooth. The marination is good but not amazing, sweetish, but to be fair most shops don't nail this.

The Highlight here, is actually the rice. But there is a catch. You have to order Roast Goose, or Goose Combo with other meats as base ~ the reason is because the Sauce poured onto the rice here is addictive, since it's made from Goose Jus & it's Stuffings, but only poured on your Rice if you ordered any Goose in the package, as they have 2 separate Roast meat sauces. 撈飯汁好香燒洋蔥, 蒜頭, 果皮, 燒鵝汁同香料味 etc... 但一定要叫燒鵝或燒鵝雙拼先會畀客人!【竺扶大班燒味 Chukfo Taipan, Wanchai HK 🇭🇰】 @ 竺扶大班燒味 Chukfo Taipan Restaurant
