My self-initiated picture book " Papa's Little Truck" got selected in the 3x3 International Illustration Annual No.17- Books category.
�
"Papa's Little Truck" is a picture book illustration inspired by a song called "Little Blue Truck".
This song reminds me of the time when I was a kid staying in the car with my father from work to work.
I try to depict the fantasies in my head during the journey and imagine those incredible plots, but what's more important to me is the time to spend with him.

Dedicated this work to my lovely family and those beautiful memories.

這是我從去年下半年在構思的新作品，
靈感來自於一首歌，歌名叫「藍色小貨車」，
歌詞在描述親子間的關係以及對於父親的思念。

這首歌讓我想起小時候，家裡開洗衣店，
爸爸總會開著貨車在不同的店家間穿梭，
收送那些待洗的衣物。
那時候還流行著卡帶，車裡總播著各式各樣的歌，
無論是中文的或是英文的、甚至是日文的。
儘管對於歌詞還不是那麼了解，
但總是會大聲地哼著歌，
彷彿整個空間都是我的舞台。

只是隨著年歲增長，家裡的洗衣店收掉了，
而這樣的畫面也漸漸地被放進回憶裡頭。

聽到這首歌
又讓我想起了那些回憶，
把它們重新組織成一趟華麗冒險。
希望將這個作品獻給我親愛的家人，
以及那些美好的回憶。

"Tips for Specialized Out-Patient Clinic (SOPC ) Follow-up Visits"

因應近期新型冠狀病毒🦠爆發，醫院管理局在公立醫院🏥啟動「緊急應變級別」措施，專科門診診所的病人可能對應否如期應診有疑慮。醫院管理局有已彈性安排，公眾可參考以下問答。

Due to the current outbreak of novel coronavirus, the Hospital Authority has activated Emergency Response Level in public hospitals. Patients may have doubts about how to attend Specialized Out-patient clinics scheduled visits. Flexible arrangements initiated by the Hospital Authority are in effect now. The public can refer to the following information.

問：我擔心會感染到病毒，無去到或者唔想去醫院 / 診所覆診，咁點算呀🤷🏻‍♂🤷🏻‍♀？

答：唔駛擔心😊，你可以喺覆診紙上面搵番醫院 / 診所電話☎，打電話去搵同事幫手。同事會因應實際情況，安排另一個覆診期📅俾你。

由於近期好多人打電話嚟診所，查詢熱綫有可能比較難打通，喺留言時請清楚留低你嘅聯絡電話☎。如果唔係緊急情況，你可以考慮傳真以要求改期，記得寫清楚聯絡電話☎，診所同事會再覆番你。

Question: I am worried about being infected by the virus. I don’t want to visit the hospital / clinic, or even show up for a scheduled appointment. What should I do?

Answer: There’s no need to worry. Please find the phone number printed on the appointment slip. Please use it to call our colleagues and s/he will make a new appointment for you according to your situation.

Due to heavy call volume, the enquiry hotline may be difficult to reach. Please leave your contact number clearly when leaving a message. If it is not an emergency, you can consider faxing a message requesting for a reschedule. Remember to write your contact phone number clearly. The clinic colleagues will reply to you.

問：我啲藥💊就嚟食晒啦，等唔到去重新安排覆診嗰日，咁又點算呀🤷🏻‍♂🤷🏻‍♀？

答：診所同事幫你重新安排覆診期嗰陣，如果你知道唔夠藥💊食到覆診嗰日，記住話俾同事知，同事會睇番你嘅情況，可能安排你去藥房攞住一部份藥💊先，又或者安排你早啲返嚟見醫生👨🏻‍⚕👩🏻‍⚕。

Question: My medication supplies are running low, and I can’t wait till the coming medical appointment. What should I do?

Answer: When our colleagues are rearranging your appointment, please tell her/him that you do not have enough medicines. Our colleagues will make necessary arrangements so that you can get the medicines from the Pharmacy, or s/he will arrange an earlier appointment for you.

中大醫學院向大家作出緊急呼籲，支持我們2000年的醫科畢業生張俊傑醫生，拯救他只有17個月大的兒子張可仁的性命。

可仁早於出生第4天時已被診斷罹患一種罕有心臟病「主動脈狹窄」(Coarctation of Aorta)，需要接受緊急手術。極之不幸的是，可仁最近再被確診患上「第四期神經母腫瘤」(Stage IV Neuroblastoma)，目前可仁的頭骨至腰椎和盆骨均受到癌細胞擴散，脊髓神經線受到癌細胞壓住，痛楚非常，並有癱瘓的危機，癌細胞更正轉移至骨髓。

可仁現時正住在威爾斯親王醫院兒童癌症中心隔離病房，極容易受到感染。他已開始接受化療，而治療方案將包括化療、手術、放射治療、骨髓移植、免疫治療，治療時間約一年至一年半。他完成化療、手術和放射治療後，會進行骨髓移植，之後需要免疫療法，這可大大提高存活率，由20%升至50%。

然而，免疫治療需要病人自費，所需費用高達港幣200萬元。張醫生另一兒子患有自閉症，太太辭掉小學主任一職，全職照顧兩位小朋友，並要照顧父母親，經濟上未能承擔高昂的醫療費用。

中大醫學院2000年畢業同學會發起是次籌款，目的包括：
1. 為可仁進行骨髓移植後的免疫治療；
2. 引發社會人士及政府對兒童罕有癌症治療的關注。

This is an urgent appeal for your generosity to save the life of the 17-month-old son of Dr. CHEUNG Chun Kit, our medical alumnus of Class 2000.

Dr. Cheung Chun Kit is a CUHK medical graduate of Year 2000. His younger son, Cheung Ho Yan Mark, has recently been diagnosed to have Stage IV Neuroblastoma in November 2018, and is in an emergency need of donation to provide the necessary funding to support the life-saving yet expensive immunotherapy.

Mark was presented to his paediatrician for fever and cough in late October 2018. His cough resolved with treatment but his fever never completely went away. Two days prior to his diagnosis, Mark was more clingy than usual and did not like to walk. On a video clip, Mark was noted to have foot drop, a very significant red flag which may indicate a compression on the spinal cord. Emergency scans were immediately performed that night, and Mark was found to have a large tumour on the left side of his abdomen. The aggressive tumour had already spread silently to the back of his skull, his spine, his hips and had compressed his nerves which control his lower limbs, resulting in pain on standing and difficulty in walking. Mark is facing an imminent risk of paralysis.

Mark is diagnosed to have a rare childhood cancer which is called Stage IV neuroblastoma, a cancer which typically presents at late stage because it arises deep in the abdomen. To cure his aggressive cancer, Mark needs to survive through rounds of intensive chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, bone marrow transplant, and finally, immunotherapy. The whole treatment duration lasts 1.5 to 2 years. To completely eradicate all cancer cells, immunotherapy will be needed to boost Mark’s survival from 20% to 50%. However, immunotherapy is a self-financed treatment in the public hospital and the treatment costs could be up to 2 million.

Such close encounter with death is not the first time for Mark. At the first week of life, Mark was diagnosed to have a rare heart problem called “Coarctation of Aorta”. Mark had received life-saving surgery to reestablish the blood flow across his aorta, the major blood vessel that allows blood to go from the heart to the brain and the rest of the body. In a report published in 2002, only 67 cases with dual heart condition and neuroblastoma were reported, giving an odd of 1 in 100 million for a child to be hit by these two rare diseases. Scientists have not yet completely understood the mechanisms that may cause the two conditions to appear in a single child.

It never rains but pours that Mark’s elder brother, now 5 years old, was diagnosed to have autism at around age 2. To enable the elder brother to have intensive training to improve his outcome and development, Mark’s mommy quit her job as a primary school teacher since the diagnosis of autism was made for his elder brother. Dr. Cheung, who is a medical doctor for the elderly, became the sole bread-winner of his family.

CUHK Medical Graduates of Year 2000 have initiated a fund-raising campaign for Mark and his family with the following two objectives:

1. To appeal for donation to support the costs of immunotherapy for Mark
2. To increase the public awareness on the grave needs of children with cancers

The rise of China and the fall of the West.  My belief is that Britain will be the first European country to fall.  There will be shock and awe as the world watches parts of Europe become third world countries.  Police overwhelmed.  High levels of inflation, and daily riots.  All China will have to do is to wait and pick up the pieces.  Unfortunately one of those pieces will be Taiwan.  The overblown welfare state, mass immigration from countries and of peoples not understood by the politicians that initiated the immigration policies.  The resentment of the indigenous Brits and the weak police force will lead to bloodbaths in the streets.  China despite all the wishes for it to collapse will not.  There will be swift moves to take advantage of the gap in power.  Taiwan will be the Suez canal of the United States of America.  If Britain has a cultural revolution this is it.  The dark ages saw a decline in life expectancy, innovation, creativity.  The west is about to enter another dark ages. There is no telling how long it will last.  The next proper comprehensive history written about the peoples of Britain will be written in Chinese.  This is the strange death of Britain.
