「給你一個擁抱。」（圖所傳達的意境。）

我在網路上藉由一個療癒的遊戲，認識了一個跟我同歲，來自印尼雅加達（Indonesia）的心理諮商師。

從認識到現在的時間裡，我每天盡力用著「大學被當三年的英文程度」與她對話，她是一個非常溫暖、貼心、善於傾聽、也很善解人意的人。

即使語言的不同讓我常常言不及義，或是要查著很多的單字才能對話，但她總會不厭其煩的等我。

今天遇到她的時候，她一如往常的問起我最近如何？

我跟她分享了，這一波颱風造成的天氣變化，導致我的病情突然急轉直下，從昨天晚上開始一直喘不過氣，呼吸變得很吃力，手腳也沒有力氣抬高，需要去醫院治療。

也順便告訴她，台灣的疫情趨緩了，可能會在近期微微解封，同時也問起她這幾天好嗎？

她告訴我，印尼的疫情這幾天極速惡化，從本來開始趨緩的兩三千人，突然擴大到單日確診破5萬人。

她的一位要好的朋友，在這一波疫情下過世了，而她的grandma、aunt、uncle、brother都確診了COVID-19 ，而且狀況都不是很好。

她說，她一直告訴自己，情緒、心智、身體的平衡在此刻都非常重要，如果她不夠strong，就無法支撐家裡撐過這一波的挑戰。

自己沒有什麼能做的，也無法到醫院去探望他們，唯一能做的就是在此刻照顧好自己。

聽到這個消息，心裡非常的難過，我用了很破、很沒有文法的英文說：”I am sorry, I can’t do anything… I just can give you a hug.”

那個當下我感到自己極度渺小，世界上有這麼多人還在疫情的肆虐中痛苦、疾病的惡化中掙扎，而我的痛苦就是這世界的某一小部份罷了。

無論是肺炎、又或是重症肌無力都會引發呼吸困難。

因此可以感受到，不能好好呼吸是一件多麼辛苦的事情，但我們依然盡著所剩的力氣，努力喘著下一口氣。

印象中她曾經問我，為什麼選擇勇敢？

我說：「我時常也不知道為什麼要勇敢，過去我認為我之所以勇敢是為了對在我身邊的人交代，不讓他們擔心。

但現在好像多了一點什麼。

如果我不面對眼前的苦痛，我就無法見證自己成為我想成為的樣貌。」

我拿起樂器，彈了一首《天空之城》給她。

宮崎峻的天空之城，之於我的某一層意義是——「對於美好世界及和平理想的嚮往，並義無反顧的追尋。甚至明白，無論結果如何，都感謝這份自己所付出的勇敢。」

對話的最後，她說了兩句話。

“I promise what hurts now won’t hurt forever. “

“Jiayo! Lue!”

接著我們擁抱，各自離開了遊戲中，繼續面對著自己人生的課題。

最後那個英文單字，我想了很久——原來是「加油」啊。

是我最不喜歡的那兩個字，但在那一刻我卻沒有感受到不舒服，因為在此時此刻的當下，我們伴著彼此在努力著，在現實世界中繼續面對那些苦難。

最後想分享她曾經跟我說過的一句話給各位。
“White is not always light and black is not always dark.”

幾年前第一次打開When helping hurts (當援助造成了傷害) 這本書，對於剛開始非洲援助的我帶來許多衝擊，打翻了做善事的既定印象，掀開充滿愛心的短期援助者離開後對受助者造成的長期傷害，這些內容也為我在非洲所做的事工打開了最基本的概念。

最近在信箱中收到校園出版社發行的中文版「機智的好撒瑪利亞人」，第一印象就覺得書名翻譯有點弱，果然喜歡標題殺人的我，校園出版社真的是太溫柔了，但一打開書內容就和印象中的一樣充實，一直被打臉的那種精彩，所以很快地就再把它看過一遍。

可惜出版社沒有給我業配賺外快，但我還是想推薦給其他人道援助的團體、長期財務奉獻給世界另一端的機構、定期差派短宣隊的教會，大家一起來真誠檢視自己的援助造成多少幫助、多少傷害！
