I: I see. You told me earlier today that karate and jujitsu are not the most powerful, the best forms of oriental fighting. What is the most powerful and best form?
B: Well, it’s bad to say the best, but in my opinion, I think kung fu is pretty good.
I: Will you tell us a little about kung fu?
B: Well, kung fu is originated in China. It is the ancestor of karate and jujitsu. It’s more of a complete system and it’s more fluid. By that I mean it’s more flowing; there’s continuity in movement instead of one movement, two movement and then stop.

[English Follows] 今天終於錄完「勝利催落去」這季最後一集的旁白，走出錄音室就感到一點點哀傷，因為算是我們這次的旅程暫時告一段落。
節目裡的旁白都是來自於旅程中的真實心情，有的是曾經講過的話，有的是取自于自己寫的筆記，有的是導演用來把故事串起來的旁白。每次錄音前都會做好功課，把稿子畫起來，查生字的發音，並練到盡可能的順又自然，要念得很順不難，要聽起來不像在念稿子就很難。
現在回想到這三年所錄過的旁白，覺得好像有點小小的進步，不敢說很完美，但好像聽得到聲音裡的溫度，而這個溫度好像不是練出來的，是來自于路上認識的新朋友、勝利團隊的每位、及一起聽見台灣的好旅伴信廷 <3

Today we finished recording the narration for our very last episode of “From Hear to There” this season. I felt a bit sad as I left the studio, knowing that our journey has come to a (hopefully temporary) end.
You may be curious to know where the narration comes from for each episode; some of it is things we said during our journey, some of it comes from things we wrote down, and some of it serves as links to tie together the story.
To be honest, these recording sessions have always been a struggle for me. It takes hours of practice to be able to read a Chinese script and sound both fluid and natural. As I listened to the recording today, I could hear a minor improvement since I first began more than 3 years ago. I could hear a warmth in my voice... a warmth that doesn't come from practice, but from the people we have met along the way, from our all-star team that has traveled around the world (literally and figuratively) to make this amazing journey possible, and from my my co-host Hsin-ting who is a constant inspiration.
