說來有趣，我們現在住的小鎮，就位於美軍聯合基地 Joint Base Lewis–McChord (簡稱 JBLM) 附近。
前幾天看到美國從阿富汗撤軍的新聞片段，發現軍機上的 McChord 字樣。我好奇問了州警大人，機上的 McChord 是 JBLM 聯合基地的 McChord 嗎？克萊兒這才發現，原來載著阿富汗難民的美國軍機，目的地正是位於華盛頓州的 JBLM。

接下來，預計會有大量阿富汗難民湧入美國。這些難民美國是一定得收的，畢竟爛攤子是自己捅出來的。不過，究竟該如何保護美國國民，不讓有恐佈組織背景的假難民趁虛而入，這才是拜登政府現該正視的問題。

只可惜，拜登政府依舊令人感到失望。美國海軍陸戰隊的中校 Stuart Scheller 日前在臉書上傳影片，批評美國撤軍撤的一塌糊塗，隨之而來的自殺炸彈攻擊更導致 13 名美軍及約 170 名阿富汗人身亡。Stuart Scheller 認為高層將領必須有人要承擔責任，他表示：「我有十七年的作戰經驗。但我願意冒著失去一切的風險告訴我的上級，有人必須為這次撤軍行動負責。」
Stuart Scheller 在海軍陸戰隊擔任步軍訓練營的指揮官。他要求上級說出實話並扛起責任。他說：「即使說出真話可能會讓我失去目前指揮官的職位，失去我的退休金、還有我家人的安定生活。」他繼續炮火全開猛力批評：「大家感到很失望，因為他們的上級將領讓他們失望了。而且沒有一個人舉起手負責，或承認他們搞砸了。」
Stuart Scheller 的影片獲得極大迴響。然而，就如同他預料的一般，影片上傳還不到一天，他就在臉書宣布自己被海軍陸戰隊開除了。美國這個以政治正確為上的國家，難道竟真的容不下一個說真話的人？
