【contempt】

今天的文章在談論-Leadership
一開始就講到這個貫穿全文的字「contempt」
contempt 是一個不可數的名詞，
根據Cambridge字典的解釋為：a strong feeling of disliking and having no respect for someone or something。

也會用在對法庭的藐視：be in contempt of court

常見的用法為：
hold sb/sth in contempt
= feel contempt for someone or something
= show contempt for sth/sb

本文例句：
1. It can come out of nowhere — a contempt attack.
2. Most leaders experience contempt attacks at one time or another, especially during times of crisis, uncertainty, and high stress.
3. Her eyes narrowed, and she leaned toward me with fury and contempt shooting out of every pore of her being.

【weather the crisis】

你可能聽過：How's the weather today?

但你知道當weather變成動詞時是什麼意思嗎？

是 pass through safely 『安然度過（尤指風暴或困難）』

可以這麼搭配：『weather the crisis/ the storm/ the recession』

例句：You might also want to highlight that you’ve worked in high-pressure environments before, since most companies’ priority right now will be weathering the crisis and will be looking for people who can contribute to that effort. (from Harvard Business Review)

原句直譯為「在影廳營運商中贏得很少朋友」，太過直覺且不符合中文語境。此時我們可以換另一個角度思考原文想傳達什麼意思，將「贏得很少朋友」轉化為「招致不滿」，兼顧英文原意且更符合中文邏輯。

✍常見用法：add/pay a premium 支付溢價、加價

這張卡有兩種用法, 你可以由關西機場, 去Rinku Town stop over There are 2 ways to use this pass, u can go to Rinku Town stop over from Kansai Airport

Shopping 完, 用著同一張card出難波 After shopping, use the same pass to Namba

如果你當日班機在晚上到達, 就不建議你用這個方法 If your flight arrives at night, this method is not recommended.

但是這一張card, 是可以在你臨離開大阪當日 But this card can be use the day u leave Osaka
