我忘記了上一次吃西藥是哪時了，恐怕至少都是10年前的事。小時候吃太多藥，打亂了身體的自癒能力，我又有很多藥物後的副作用，現在聽到抗生素都怕怕🥶🥶🥶。 但昨晚，我乖乖的吃了這消炎止痛藥。全因為我想徹底洗乾淨牙齒。而這過程過後，口腔會有傷口，有關神經線會被影響到，我上一次洗牙後，沒有吃止痛藥，三义神經線分支叫嚷著👻，讓我無法入睡，要自己做一點舒緩神經線的手法去幫助。最重要是，太痛讓我不能夠認真刷牙（洗牙後，每次刷牙都要鼓起勇氣😾），但刷牙不乾淨，又會再積牙石🤒⋯⋯#無限輪迴 ♾😵😵😵 為什麼那麼多牙石🪨？當然因為刷牙🪥不正確/不乾淨，但我一生人幾乎都沒有蛀牙🕳呀？那又為什麼？ 看牙醫長知識，他的行醫經驗，讓他觀察到兩個現象：很多蛀牙🕳的病人，是很少機會患上牙週病。反之，牙週病嚴重的病人，是很少出現蛀牙🕳情況。。我當然不放過機會問他原因何在❓ 牙醫解釋：假如一個病人的口水有很高鈣含量，在進食後，口水就能很快中和了進食後口腔內的細菌🦠，蛀牙🕳的情況（酸性細菌🦠在牙齒🦷上「工作」🔨🔨🔨）便不能形成，但口水的鹼性和食物的酸性溶在一起，便會很容易產生牙石🪨。當牙石已經藏在牙齦之間，卻沒有正確方法刷牙🪥去清除牙菌膜，漸漸，牙菌膜便會變成牙石🪨。牙石藏在牙齦之間，其實再大力刷牙都清除不掉，久而久之，牙肉會腫脹、用牙線時會流血，牙齒感覺鬆脫，並對冷或熱的食物敏感-這就是牙週病。 其實牙週病或牙齒敏感，處理的第一步就是要牙齒清潔，甚麼有關的牙膏，都怕只能舒緩不適，卻沒有解決根源問題-除牙石。預防牙週病的宗旨，就是清除牙石。 另一冷知識是：縱使不進食，細菌🦠還是會在口腔內形成，因為🦠只需要水份和空氣就能繁殖（🤯）。 雖然比以往所有洗牙的經驗都痛苦😖 ，甚至比我脫四隻智慧齒時都痛苦（而我是沒有任何不適、純粹想清潔牙齒🦷之下去求醫），但我還是鼓起勇氣面對自己的問題。牙醫那求真和一絲不苟的態度，也令我反思，我自己作治療師的位置時，不也是要病人面對根源問題，而非頭痛醫頭 、腳痛醫腳嗎？ ☝🏼Summary of what I learnt from my dental scaling 🦷🦷🦷experience: Find the root cause and be courageous to face your problems. The dentist taught me something I didn’t know: that when someone having higher calcium concentration in her/his saliva, s/he will have less chance developing tooth decay, but easier to form plaque, because calcium from saliva quickly neutralizes the acidic condition or bacteria formed in the mouth cavity after meals/after a night, eliminating the favourable condition for tooth decay but the end products of the two is the very prototype of plaque. So people with less calcium in their saliva will easier to develop tooth decay but not so easy to have periodontitis. Another interesting fact is, you mouth cavity develops bacteria 🦠 even without eating, because 🦠 can be formed with just water and air. Do brush your teeth very properly, in front of a mirror, day and night, use dental floss and interdental brush 🪥, do NOT brush your teeth right after eating, decrease the frequency of eating sweets, and consult your dentist every 6-12 months.
