此為假設語氣「與現在事實相反」的用法，若動詞屬be 動詞，一律都用were，若動詞為一般動詞，則用過去式。​

本宮身邊有位熱心線民，長期供應「過去式中二情侶檔」的各種卦。老實說，我挺心煩這兩位的。女方對已故前男友念念不忘，帶著這份情緒走入婚姻。前夫在婚禮上演唱前男友的作品《旋木》，十分感人。
　
可惜婚禮的催淚程度與是否幸福無法劃上等號，數年後他們分開了。我耳邊一直吹著一股風，說是女方外遇導致婚姻破裂。可我覺得吧，有幾分證據講幾分話，目前人證物證我都沒有找到，咱們不能冤枉了姑娘。
　
離婚後，她遇見了一個屁孩。怎麼看都覺得他倆不相配，but hey，他們高興就好。自從他們出雙入對後，娛樂版就沒消停過。直到剛才，我還在被轟炸。男方承認，於交往期間疑似劈腿直播女孩，帶她回到同居愛巢過夜。
　
請容我吐個煙圈。孩子，汽車旅館不貴啊！完事後還能唱歌、泡澡呢（喔我是聽朋友說的）（心虛）。
　
屁孩說，當時是雙方感情出了問題，才會有發生這些事。讓我想起 Ross：「親愛的，我們不是 on a break 嗎？」，可在 Rachel 的認知中，那就是劈腿啊啊啊啊啊啊。不過，女方說不想追究，如此大度的姑娘，值得讚賞。
　
她才剛因無縫接軌被網友灌爆，今日依然是「老娘跟你分開了，就不想再理你的鳥事！各過各的，祝福！」態度，多麼大氣多麼崇高，我心服口服。

這種感覺很討厭，我真的很不願意看到妳還跟那個完全配不上妳的前度有任何的糾纏，可是妳那心軟的性格把妳一次次的害慘。

妳沒有說話，強忍住淚水，說：

「我愛你，不是因為他而愛你，是因為你而愛你。我可憐他，但不足以動搖我對你的愛。」

「...那妳為什麼還一直...」

「我和他還有聯絡是因為我要跟他說清楚事實，我不想給他不必要的幻想。他是前度，是過去式，離開我的人我願意讓他離開，但你是我眼前的人，我願意好好的珍惜，但你不明白我。」

「...對不起。」

我很慚愧，原來妳很清楚知道自己的想法，我一直以為妳會當局者迷，不知道自己應該怎麼處理，我以為妳仍然和他聯絡是餘情未了，原來妳一直都把愛毫不保留的交給我。我很內疚，為什麼要不斷的逼迫妳去交代這些事，為什麼要把妳以前的事挖出來讓妳受傷，為什麼不早一點醒覺去為妳著想。

我把妳緊緊抱進懷裡，不斷哭著說對不起。

妳雙手緊緊的抱著我，「傻子，我愛妳」。

「謝謝妳沒離開我，謝謝妳。」我抱得更緊。
