American Football, Rugby and Rugby League are played on an 180° plane, where as AFL and Football are played needing a 360° view. When Israel Folau switched from AFL to Rugby, he took with him a whole new element to running lines off a playmakers hip, usually either Bernard Foley or Kurtley Beale. He constantly accelerated into the line at the end of a curved run which often began at very acute angles, much like Billy Slater does here in the second try. Adding size, speed, and footwork to this seldom before seen line running was almost unfair. It made the jobs of all the other backs, whether Waratahs or Wallabies, easier, as opposing defenses had to keep an eye on Folau as a unit.
