失去，有很多種面貌。

痛苦和失去相連，當我們什麼都沒有擁有時，什麼也都不會失去；而當我們開始想要積累時，失去就會使我們感到痛苦。然而，能夠被擁有的，就有可能終將失去。

這讓我想起學生時代的焦慮症，我稱之為「握在手掌心上的確認」焦慮，這可能也是很多東方女性的通病，在關係中會不時地確認對方對我們的評價、定義、定位，以及關係的穩定度。比如急於確定雙方的關係（我們到底是不是男女朋友公開不公開）、無時無刻需要和對方連結（見面或通話）、需要知悉對方行蹤（或報備）、以負向問句來測探對方的心意（今天跟誰去約會啊）、用反向推開方式想要達成拉近距離的策略（要不要幫你介紹那個正妹啊）、過度推敲對方的一句話或一個行為..等等。

這種需要不斷確認的焦慮，實是與自己分離的一種狀況。因為無法自在地與自己相處，而不斷地需要另一個人的確認來讓自己安心。然而這樣的焦慮，只會助長關係上的緊張，而施與彼此壓力感到不自在。對方會感受到有一股怎麼填都填不滿的焦慮，就好像你已經把我緊抓在手心上了，還時不時要問：「你還在嗎？」。

失去也和改變相關，人要改變，就不可能不失去。在改變形成的狀態下，是某種程度的失去。比如想要改變在關係中的僵持或對峙，可能得需要拿掉捍衛自己的權威，失去硬殻來碰觸柔軟的內在，才有可能轉化關係。因此，想要改變的前提，也許可以思考自己需要失去什麼，以及哪些是無法失去來換取改變的。

除了當下具體失去某人或某事之外，我個人認為最難處理的是對未來或過去的潛在失去。也就是說失去了這個人或這件事在過去或未來裡所代表的意義，比如和某個人分離，在象徵意義上過去的一切就煙消雲散似乎從未擁有過，或是失去對某個人的信任如同過往是個騙局般的令人難以接受，亦或是和離了另一半那麼往後難道要孤獨終老嗎？這些潛在失去都在哀嚎著，加重體驗失去的歷程。

當然相對來說，失去的另一面是獲得。因此我們也得練習不去過度聚焦失去，但專注在能獲得什麼上面。也許在一次挫敗的經驗上我失去了某個機運，但我也因此獲得了寶貴的經驗及感受，這對我未來的人生拼圖上，也許是個不可或缺的轉捩點。

在失去的背後還隱藏著一份信任，一份對自己的信任。因為我相信自己有能力失去，也有能力再重組，因此能夠在失去的心境上，獲得自由感，而不是想方設法地預防失去。
