這一對名詞都含有“事情”、“事件”之意,但涵業有所不同。 accident 是“意外事”,通常指偶然發生的不幸事件或事故, ;incident是“事情”或“事件”,它既可以指日常生活中的瑣事,也可以指外交、政治方面的重大事件。

請看下面的例句:
An awful accident has claimed three lives.
一件可怕的意外事奪去了三條人命。
The train for Shenzhen met with an accident and many passengers were injured.
