So there’s nothing more liberating for this 4 year old boy battling Neuroblastoma than to have his very own mobile vehicle – one that brings freedom and joy! Akif’s interest in cars spun from his past visits to the malls and watching other children on kiddie rides. Due to his age and cost of rides, Akif could only watch by the side with envy. Not anymore! Having his own vehicle helps him move forward and not dwell on the months of intensive chemotherapy treatments which left him weak and withdrawn. On Akif’s wish day, volunteers hopped on a video call surprising him with his own swanky electric car at his doorstep. He was super excited; cheering and skipping through his living room while waiting for his brother to put the car together! Hearing Akif laugh again brought the much needed strength to his family too.
