Spotted the state flag flypast during one of the National Day Parade rehearsals. Not too difficult to #guesswhere I was! 😉

I’m sure many are eagerly awaiting this evening’s NDP Show at the Marina Bay Floating Platform, which was postponed from 9 August until after the end of Phase 2 (Heightened Alert).

This year’s Show is meant for TV. The Marina Bay area will be closed to the public. If you’re heading out later, remember to wear your masks and maintain safe-distancing. We are cautiously easing our COVID-19 measures, but the virus is still not vanquished yet.

The cross for Hong Kong is already in place - on the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania.

This is the first.
There will be many more - signs, memorials, demonstrations, political moves and concrete measures - to show Lithuania's support for Hong Kong. For freedom and democracy. For courageous and valiant Hongkongers, who are at the front-line of the battle for freedom.
In the past, the Soviets tried to raze the Hill of Crosses. The Hill is there, and the Soviet Union is gone.
The agents of the Communist China tried to erase the Hongkongers' prayers from the Hill of Crosses. The cross for Hong Kong is back there, first among many, I am sure, and the Communist intentions are vanquished.
The Communist evil empire of the PRC will eventually crumble, just as the Soviet Union crumbled under the calm and unyielding resolve of the freedom-loving nations: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia.
Be strong. Keep calm. Never give up.
