Enjoy Happiness Now

“Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” (Philippians‬ ‭4:11-13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Don’t postpone your happiness to the future.

“When I am rich, I will be happy.” Really? King Solomon is by today’s standards a trillionaire and he was not happy. Read about it in the Book of Ecclesiastes. He indulged in every worldly comfort and pleasure possible, and yet he concluded that it was all vanity of vanities, grasping after the wind.

Happiness is not about being rich or poor. It is about having Christ in you and with you.

“This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” (John‬ ‭17:3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

As a believer, you know God not as a distant person, but a good Father who loves you and is on your side. To the world who does not know Him, He is still the Judge who punishes the wicked. They do not have the kind of relationship that we enjoy with Him.

Start enjoying your relationship with Abba God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit today. You can pray, and God will show you amazing truths, advice for the future, and help you with whatever you need.

A life without God is an empty life, like always eating but never being able to satisfy that hunger.

When you have Jesus as Lord, you have the Bread of Life, the living bread from Heaven to feed on. His words in the Scriptures, the Lord’s Supper, are true food that nourish you in many ways.

Perhaps happiness is having an unlimited supply of this heavenly food, so that your spiritual hunger is satisfied!

As we look at each of the miracles that were recorded in the four gospels, you will know Abba God better by seeing what Jesus does. What it Means to Lose your Crown

“I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown.” (Revelation‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Losing your crown doesn’t mean losing your salvation.

It is clear when you look at the verse right before this.

“Because you kept my command to endure, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, which is to come on the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” (Revelation‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The people that Jesus was addressing were already saved and set apart to Him, under His protection.

Therefore, losing your crown refers not to losing salvation, but to losing your rewards.

Although we will never lose our salvation after being born-again through faith, we can lose out on our heavenly rewards when we choose to ignore God’s word and the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

“So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.” (Romans‬ ‭8:12-14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Sowing to the flesh by constantly giving in to the sinful cravings and impulses of the flesh leads to earthly consequences and losing out on rewards.

For example, spending your money on cigarettes and drugs means taking away money that could be sowed towards helping the saints who are in need, and towards the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
One is sowing to the flesh, leading to death (sickness and infirmity are lesser manifestations of death), while the other is sowing to the Spirit which reaps a life-filled harvest of blessings and rewards.

Your time on earth is precious! Redeem your time wisely by walking in love towards God and fellow men.

Sowing your time and efforts towards the flesh’s sinful desires only gives you death in return.
On the other hand, sowing to the Spirit through Spirit-led works of faith, hope and love will merit you heavenly rewards!

“each man’s work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man’s work is. If any man’s work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The apostle Paul taught so clearly. Works of the flesh will prove to be fruitless, but works of the Spirit will remain and merit you rewards!

If a Christian lives his whole life pursuing worldly vanities, he won’t lose his salvation. He himself will be saved, but he will suffer loss, like a man whose entire house and possessions were consumed in the fire.
Why should you become one of the least in the Kingdom of Heaven?

It’s not too late to change your mind about your priorities in life. Walk in love, be wise, and don’t take anyone cause you to lose your crown! 🙏

This is for someone who feels like he or she is drowning.

“Then Jonah prayed to Yahweh, his God, out of the fish’s belly. He said, “I called because of my affliction to Yahweh. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me. I said, ‘I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’ The waters surrounded me, even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever: yet have you brought up my life from the pit, Yahweh my God. “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Yahweh. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple. Those who regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy. But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to Yahweh.” Yahweh spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.” (Jonah‬ ‭2:1-10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Perhaps you feel overwhelmed by your challenges and it feels like you’re sinking deeper and deeper without any way of escape.

You may be so stressed out that you feel suffocated and trapped.

The beauty of Jonah chapter 2 is that you see Jonah sinking down and down until he reached the bottom of the sea, but suddenly there’s a turning point.
He seems to stop going down and becomes still when He remembers Yahweh (Jesus).
Then he rises up and is vomited back onto dry land.

Dear brethren, if you feel like you’re sinking, remember Jesus and call upon Him for help.

No matter how deep you are in the sea, your faint whispered prayer can still reach His sanctuary in Heaven. You’re not too far beyond His help.

“If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me.” (Psalms‬ ‭139:9-10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Jonah ended his monologue with a declaration that salvation belongs to Yahweh (Jesus).

Salvation doesn’t belong to anything or anyone else. Nothing and no one can save you like Jesus can.
Your fleshly self-efforts are like a metal ball-and-chain tied around your ankles—tiring you out and dragging you lower.
When you give up trying to save yourself, Jesus will quickly pull you out of those deep waters.

If you’ve been consistently going down, there’s good news—the next step is to go up!

Quickly call upon Jesus and He will save you from trouble now.

What does Jesus’ original Hebrew name Yeshua mean? It means Yahweh saves or salvation.

His main mission and identity is to be your Savior, and He is mighty to save!
