Seorang remaja lelaki yang baru habis SPM datang ke kedai emas milik rakan saya di Shah Alam.

Kata remaja tersebut, "Untie, saya nak beli cincin saiz ** . Duit saya ada RM500. Boleh tak untie tolong pilih cincin yang sesuai?"

"Adik nak beli cincin untuk siapa? Untuk girlfriend ke?" Tanya kawan saya.

"Bukan untie. Saya nak beli cincin hadiah untuk mak saya sebab hari ni hari jadi mak," balas remaja itu bersemangat. Hati kawan saya mula tersentuh.

"Maaf untie nak tanya, mana adik dapat duit RM500 ni?"

"Saya sekolah biasa-biasa saja untie. Sambil-sambil sekolah saya ambil upah servis aircond. Duit upah itulah yang saya simpan untuk beli hadiah kat mak. Dah lama saya pasang niat nak hadiahkan emas kat mak. Sekarang baru cukup duit yang saya kumpul ni," balas remaja itu jujur.

"Kalau macam tu adik beli cincin belah rotan ni. Harga dalam RM300. Masih ada sedikit baki duit untuk adi guna," cadang kawan saya kerana dia melihat beg duit remaja itu kosong selepas dia mengeluarkan wang RM500 tersebut.

"Tak apa untie. Saya nak guna semua duit ni untuk beli cincin mak. Saya nak beli yang elok. Saya nak gembirakan mak."

Kata kawan saya, sampai setakat itu perbualan mereka air mata kawan saya itu sudah tidak mampu ditahan lagi. Puas dia sembunyikan rasa sebak itu tetapi akhirnya air mata kawan saya tumpah juga melihat keikhlasan anak ini demi ibunya.

Akhirnya, pada harga 'lebih-lebih kurang' kawan saya tunjukkan cincin daun keladi. Terus remaja tersebut bersetuju dan membayar harganya lalu pulang dengan senyuman yang lebar.

Allahu... saya yang mendengar kisah ini petang semalam turut terburai air mata. Berdoalah kita semua semoga Allah jadikan anak-anak kita juga sehebat remaja ini dalam memulia dan menggembirakan ibunya.

Tahniah buat ibu dan anak ini. Sesungguhnya anak soleh yang luar biasa lahir daripada ibu yang hebat. Anak, semoga rezeki dan perjalanan hidupmu kelak dimudahkan selalu oleh Allah s.w.t.

It was so much fun ! Thanks Uncle Awal and Untie Scha for inviting us to come to Penang with you guys. We needed a Holiday getaway ! Also a special thank you to Shangri-La Golden Sands Resort Penang for the hospitality . Staying there was an absolutely fabulous experience. The kids had so much fun ! Will definitely come again in future .
