TAI HEI 大戏 - Cantonese Opera
Presented by Chin San Sooi

1. Lok Kok Tai Fong Seong (The Inauguration of the Prime Minister) is hardly performed in its entirety or abbreviated form in Malaysia as there is no existing troupe large enough to stage it. Perhaps only a truncated version may be done. The performance is in English.
Liau Siau Suan, who resides in Adelaide now, will return to portray the role of the Prime Minister.
This piece is a divertissement of the Cantonese opera which is staged to kick off the opera season. It show cases the dazzling splendour of the costumes and basic mime of the Cantonese opera.

2. Tai Loi Fah (The Last of the Ming Princess) is regarded as a ground breaking work in the development of Cantonese opera as it introduced a more melodious music akin to an operatta. This excerpt of the finale is probably one of the best known scenes in Cantonese opera. It is sung first in English followed by the original Cantonese version.

So this is what I was shooting in Langkawi! A bunch of journalists rolling around in the sand and getting lots of saltwater in while taking stern instructions, lol.
2015 is the 25th year since the first Luminox Navy SEAL watch was designed and issued to the elite Navy SEALs. In celebration of this anniversary, Luminox distributor for SG/MY/BN Crystal Time organised a Luminox Spec Ops Mission in Langkawi by ex-Navy SEAL John McGuire, where media from these 3 countries went through a truncated 6-hour version of the original 6-month BUD/s.

I was running around shooting the training and a lot of heart was witnessed. Even though I wasn't part of the training, I learnt so many life values and lessons from Mr McGuire who has had 29 broken bones and never tasted alcohol in his life. "You have very strong mental capacity," I said to him after he told me some of his hard fought stories. "No, you and I are the same; you just don't know that. Let's work on that." #respect #luminox

ต้องบอกก่อนว่า มันยังเป็นแค่ conceptual design อยู่ แต่ก็ถูกคิดมาค่อนข้างครบถ้วนแล้ว ตามกำหนดเราน่าจะได้เห็นช่วงฤดูใบไม้ผลิปีหน้าครับ :)
