@zungninjaphotographer has been inviting us to his hometown in #Sekinchan for many years now and today we finally went to visit to celebrate the Hub’s and BIL’s June birthdays 🎉 . We started with a kickass Nasi Lemak breakfast by the scenic padi fields, followed by a tour around the little quaint farming & fishing village. Lunch was prepared by the family run #zungninjaprivatekitchen at Zung’s family home where he grew up. He introduced us to his dad and showed us around his 50year old home, filled with a collection memorabilia from his extensive travels and a photo wall covered with his lifetime accomplishments. . Sekinchan is known for its seafood and the Teochew Seafood dishes were very unique, super fresh and absolutely delicious! Not to mention, very creatively plated! . It was a fun morning for the kids too who got to play in the padi fields for the first time, spot harvesting tractors 🚜, chickens 🐓 and cows 🐄 fishing boats ⛵️ and play at the beach. . And the weather was just perfect today! ⛅️☀️🌩 . Thank you Zung, for being such a great host! . If you’re a foodie or just looking for a quick day trip to explore Malaysia’s little gems, Sekinchan is just a little over an hour away! We totally recommend Zung’s private tour and private kitchen experience!

Books are an experience that can be shared infinitely. So I’m sharing this on. I’m done re-reading this fun little fiction - and would like to encourage someone out there with their 2019 reading goals (I’m lagging behind mine too!) Got this #secondhand from my local ‘buy nothing project’, and I hope to see more books circulating and shared. No point gathering dust on a bookcase!
