Another epic weekend at the @europeanpowerliftingconference . Still feel privileged to meet people so knowledgeable in their field, yet so humble. . While I'm much more well-versed in bodybuilding, I find it important to step out and learn about other areas. . I learnt loads about the different considerations on nutrition/training and am again reminded that 'no...not everyone is and wants to have striated glutes on stage', which is important when considering nutritional and training approaches. . ===== . The highlight was meeting @helms3dmj ,a damn smart & humble guy that has greatly influenced me as a person and content producer. Eric (and the guys at 3DMJ) have doing amazing things talking about the psychological considerations of participating in strength sports. Side note...I still find it insane how Eric delivers seminars so well days out from the stage. . @rpdrmike is always a pleasure to listen to, and talking about how amazing carbs are just makes it 10x better...because who doesn't like carbs??? . @vitaminphd discussed nutritional strategies among powerlifterst. And obviously the talk didn't end without mentions of throwing up at judges and accidents on the platform. . @jordan_barbellmedicine talked about injury and pain which I really enjoyed as it shows the importance of considering HOW you discuss pain and injury with athletes. . @gregnuckols spoke on sex differences, which was not new to me, but it was cool to see the data laid out. . @miketuchscherer presented on novel ways of measuring stress, and @brettgibbz on his journey in powerlifting over 10 years, both very interesting. .
