I would like to believe that I’m not alone in this. Right? I’m turning 25 this year and I have so much to do and achieve. But at the same time, life now doesn’t allow you to make plans more than 5 days ahead cus there’s just so much uncertainty. One day I’m going through Linkedin to ciao this shithole, another day I be scrolling through MA programmes, some days I’m just scrolling TikTok. Fir in Jan 2021 and Fir in August 2021 pun dah jauh beza. It’s just hard to hold onto these “motivations” and “inspirations” when the world around you is just crumbling down to pieces. But today someone reminded me that I wasn’t alone in this. And it felt nice. I felt a sense of comfort because there wasn’t an expectation that I have be a go getter 24/7. No expectations that I have to be happy and grateful and be okay with not being okay. These things are hard to talk about to some because even at this rate, we are expected to put on the widest smile and take the proudest strides. But I’m assuring you that it’s okay to feel whatever you want to feel or walk or even crawl if you need to survive. Life doesn’t have to be perfect for others to only scrutinise you even more. Legit doh, it’s okay to sulk and be frustrated. I am with you and I hear you. Bit by bit friends.
