    New World ผลงานเกม MMORPG ที่น่าจับตามองตัวใหม่จาก Amazon ที่ตอนนี้กำลังอยู่ในระหว่างการทดสอบ และข้อมูลอัปเดตแพทช์ที่รั่วไหลออกมา เผยให้เห็นว่า เกมนี้จะมีการขาย Boost XP และทำให้แฟนเกมหลายคนไม่พอใจ

    Screengrab ออกมาเปิดเผยว่า ในช่วงทดสอบที่ผ่านมา เริ่มมีการเปิดเผยข้อมูลใน Reddit โดยในเกมจะมีร้านค้าพิเศษที่ต้องใช้สกุลเงินแบบพรีเมี่ยมในการซื้อสินค้า ซึ่งคาดว่าจะเป็นเงินที่ได้จากการเติมเงินจริง โดยภายในร้านมีการขายเครื่องแต่งกาย สกิน คอสเมติกต่าง ๆ

    หนึ่งในนั้นมีไอเทมจำพวก Boost XP ทั้งเลเวลของตัวละคร และทักษะต่าง ๆ ของตัวละครด้วย ซึ่งตรงนี้นี่เองที่ทำให้เกิดความกังวลเกี่ยวกับระบบของเกม ว่าอาจจะมีความเหลื่อมล้ำ และกลายเป็นเกม Pay to Win ไป

    ทำให้ทางสตูดิโอต้องออกมาแถลงการณ์ผ่านทวิตเตอร์ว่า สินค้าในระบบนี้จะเป็นเครื่องแต่งกายสวยงามหรือจำพวกคอสเมติกเท่านั้น แต่ก็ไม่แน่ว่าในอนาคตอาจจะเพิ่มไอเทมจำพวกนี้เข้ามาจริง ๆ เพราะพวกเขาได้ทดสอบแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับไอเทมเหล่านี้ไว้แล้ว

    โดยให้เหตุผลว่า ยิ่งผู้เล่นเข้าถึงเนื้อหาและโหมดเกมในช่วง Endgame ได้มากเท่าไร ประสบการณ์เล่นเกมโดยรวมก็จะยิ่งมีมากขึ้นเท่านั้น และบอกว่ามันไม่ได้เกี่ยวกับการเร่งให้ผู้คนไปถึงจุด Endgame เร็ว ๆ แต่เป็นการสนับสนุน และช่วยเหลือผู้ที่ไม่มีเวลาเล่นได้ใช้ประโยชน์จากมันเท่านั้น

    อย่างไรก็ตาม New World กำลังจะออกมาให้เราได้เล่นกันภายในปีนี้แล้ว หลังจากต้องเลื่อนวางจำหน่ายมา และเกมจะออกมาเป็นรูปแบบไหน ต้องรอหาคำตอบกันได้ในวันที่เกมวางจำหน่ายนี้

    Recently, a spate of fake Facebook accounts have appeared, using footage of me speaking to promote false ‘giveaways’. Most of them promise easy money if you share the link in Facebook groups, spreading the scam further.

    If you see these posts, please do not click them! They want to trick you into revealing your banking details, or other personal information. Report the posts to the Singapore Police Force instead. Try to note down the URL of the post, as a screengrab does not always capture the info needed to identify it.

    Thank you to all the people who have alerted me to these fake accounts. I hope we will all remain vigilant. For more information on scams, you can visit www.scamalert.sg or call the Anti-Scam Hotline at 1800-722-6688.
